    Interesting move, considering gay marriage isn't exactly a real popular idea, but I guess all dem's & liberals who don't support gay marriage will just need to evolve or hold their tongue.

    Consummation or consummation of a marriage, in many traditions and statutes of civil or religious law, is the first (or first officially credited) act of sexual intercourse between two people, either following their marriage to each other or after a prolonged sexual attraction. Its legal significance arises from theories of marriage as having the purpose of producing legally recognized descendants of the partners, or of providing sanction to their sexual acts together, or both, and amounts to treating a marriage ceremony as falling short of completing the creation of the state of being married. Thus in some Western traditions, a marriage is not considered a binding contract until and unless it has been consummated.

    it might be grounds if one party wants an annulment, but it isnt as if the state demands evidence otherwise the marriage is void

    so its not required

    What a wonderful example of how petty and selfish conservatives are.

    It would never occur to them that the DNC would adopt a pro gay civil rights stance just because IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO.

    No it must be pandering for votes. Which makes plenty of sense considering by your own claims the amount of votes he would receive is insignificant at best. Keep it up guys you're making this really easy on us.

    I am pro gay marriage, but I guarantee you that just like Obamacare was the ugly abomination of single payer they will (*)(*)(*)(*) up gay marriage, too.

    The issue only comes into play if someone wants an anullment, or alleges allienation of affection in a divorce case.

    It only matters on the way out.

    1) Marriage consumation by anal intercourse.

    2) Expand the food stamp rolls.
