Obama's Disgraceful Response to the Attacks on US Embassy and Consulate

At the convention, Republicans compared Obama to Jimmy Carter.

But Jimmy Carter never apologized to Iran after they took Americans hostage in 1979.

So now, its official. Obama is now WORSE than Jimmy Carter.

Obama's apology for the free speech activity of private citizens is a disgrace that American will have a hard time living down. He has shown himself, and our country, as weak and unwilling to even defend basic liberties.

This is probably the lowest point ever in American foreign policy.

In the past, American reaction to attacks on our installations and personnel has been declaration of war and swift retalitation.

In the past, the world knew it was a fatal error to attack the United States of America.

Now it looks like attacks on America will result in weakness and retreat.

Those who go round smearing all muslims are lowlife scum. But they are not the USA, the West or any other country. They are individuals. Only those with a deep aversion to/ignorance of democracy can confuse the actions of a handful of private citizens with te actions of a nation. This is what the misled opponents of the West lack in understanding, that individuals and governments in free societies are not the same thing. And in free countries private citizens are allowed to spew poison as long as they do not infringe another person's rights.

The attacks of the two embassies are a disgrace. The reports that one person has died require a response. The lack of gratitude for the spending of Western blood and treasure to liberate the Libyan people from barbarity is disgusting (Egypt is a different story where we propped uip the tyrant).

But attacking muslims is just collusion with islamofacsist scum. Those who do this are on the same side. The people who we need to encourage in these countries are moderate muslims who understand about pluralism and democracy and seek it out along with the prosperity we enjoy. They understand that he have pus filled hatemonghers in our socities and that these scum are marginal. They are the flip side of the hatemongers who have attacked these embassies.

The response has to be to redouble efforts on all fronts, military, diplomatic, cultural, to crush the terrorists and extremisst, and at the same time to overwhelm these nations with the soft power of democratic capitalism which shows them that freedom brings prosperity and marginalizes extremists.
