This isn't going away, Dems. This will crush your party. Obama is already going to lose just based on the economy. But, now the bungler in chief has abandoned four Americans to their death, and then sent the ambassador to the UN to lie to the American people. Hillary is now deeply involved and implicated herself in the cover up by taking the blame. Leon Panetta has finally sold what little soul he had left to protect a doomed unworthy president. This is how political parties die.

So he got his information wrong. At least this time bad information didn't take us to war. I don't know what he's covering up since he admits now that the original information was off.

And what do you think he had to gain out of telling a lie? Do you have any idea how useful tragedies are to the incumbent, politically if you blame it on the right people? If his original statement about it being the video's fault was a tactful lie why wouldn't he instead blame the republicans for cutting funding to embassy security? Why blame a youtube video no one cared about until the president himself brought it up? It doesn't make sense. He had nothing to gain by blaming it on a youtube video.

But go on. Continue making baseless accusations. Continue beating the dead horse. I don't care. It's obviously not winning over Ohio.

Couldn't McCain also be conducting a lie, designed to bring out an emotional response, as people ignore the fact he's throwing out a wild accusation?

That's far more likely. Obama was far more likely misinformed. Because if he was lying it was a dumb lie. There really wasn't anything to gain out of such a lie. There is much more to gain to being truthful about the situation, explaining what you know and what you're going to do about it.

The simplest answer is almost always the right one. I have not heard one viable reason why making things up would have benefited the president. Especially when he didn't stick to the "lie". It gained him nothing. And if his goal was to turn this into a political win then he would have put the blame on republicans. Not some useless youtube no body.

And this is why this issue is not gaining traction with the voters. This is why Romney completely ignored it in the 3rd debate. The story the right wing is creating is not one that makes sense when tested against logic.

Are you saying no one is blaming the supposed cut in funding for this?? Are you deaf and blind? Perhaps he is afraid for people to find out how un "rebel" like those "rebels" we helped take over Libya are? Or perhaps those same "rebels" are the "rebels" in Syria that is now spilling over to violence in Turkey and Lebanon?

Its called CYA. Do you know what that stands for?

The key word in all of this.

Maybe OldManMcCain should get some proof before spouting off.

He sent his minions out to lie for him. He's that cowardly.

He has always been loath to admit that terror attacks occur on his watch. They classified the Ft, Hood shooting as a case of workplace violence and lowered the benefits to the survivors.

He didn't want this attack to get into the news cycle as a terror attack by AQ on 9/11. So, it became a "mob attack" about an old You Tube video. Then, they went and arrested the video maker for a probation violation for accessing the internet. He's still in jail, Bill. They won't even give him a bond!

Now, we are finding out that military assistance may very well have been forbidden by Obama to avoid hurting Libyans. This is the admin that YOU voted for.

Listen, when a political rises to the top based on his opponents' divorce records, you have elected a real turd, Bill.

Misinformed by whom? You realize he picked all those people that would be informing him. If they were inadequate for the job, whose fault is that?

What does he gain from a lie? Hiding the truth, that's what. Security in Benghazi was woefully inadequate, it seems the reason was political, safety was reduced in order to make the US appear more confident in the fledgling terrorist haven...

I still find it hilarious that in a time where they are trying desperately to win voters in Ohio, instead of hitting Obama hard on unemployment and other economic issues, you know, issues that would be important to a state with 7.2% unemployment, they continue to blather on about Libya.

And me as a democrat I'm just laughing. It's the economy, stupid. Libya is not gaining traction. But Rush and Hannity can't shut up about it. So their little parrots can't shut up about it either. Outside of the foxnews crowd I have not heard a peep about Libya. That's because it's so far down on the issue list compared to jobs. And while Rush and Hannity are desperately trying to get someone to listen to their Libya rant, Obama is picking up voters left and right with his jobs speeches.

Who knows where it went wrong. I do hope the State Department knows and are correcting the mistake if they haven't already.

Do you seriously want to talk about Obama's performance on jobs? That's a bold course...

Yeah. You sure love to pretend you care when you're using their deaths for political gain. Shame on you.

Bill, he said it looked like terrorism in a then unreleased interview with CBS. THEN, he sent Amb. Rice out to lie and blame it on the video. This a cover-up and possibly worse, if he ordered aid to be withheld.

I'm not the guy with the giggles over this, and I don't think Ft. Hood was workplace violence. Do you buy that BS, Bill?

I absolutely do. And so does Obama. That's what he's been talking about this entire time. He's out there bragging about his jobs performance while Rush and Hannity desperately try to distract people from jobs. Could it be that they've finally figured out that people are warming up to the idea of Obama the job creator? So they need a new horse to beat?

How? Are you suggesting that his administration wouldn't tell him that the ambassador was under attack in Libya?
