That MaO'Bama voters are over sensative losers is not a myth, as this story so clearly illustrates.

:steamed:Thats right. And I hate to say it...but I seen it coming the day they took the Pledge of Alleigence out of the classrooms. I make the statement that our gov't is tearing this country apart day by day...and bit by bit.

:clapping:Yeah...you don't really care either way. Well there are alot of patriotic citizens left in this country that do. If there are those that seem to be hurt by this then get the * * * * out of our country.

:flip:How is it relevant? It just so happens they were playing in the U.S.A. And if they want to chant U.S.A. then its their business. If someone has a grief about it then get the hell out.

:eekeyes:Well those hispanics have to wake up and realize that they live in America and if they don't like it then go back to where they came from.

Isn't that the interesting part? If you're American, why would you take offense? If this is your country, your home, hearing "GO USA!!!" should make you feel good, right? Anyone who would take offense obviously has a big problem and if they do, what might that problem be....perhaps you don't view the US as your country? If so, WTF are you living here for? I'm sure whatever country you're actually proud of would take you back in an instant?

Shouldn't everyone see a problem with a certain segment of the population being offended by patriotism? How does a country function when its citizens are angered or offended by the mere mention of its name?

Please answer me this? What good can come from it? What beneficial value do people bring who identify more with their country of origin or in some cases, not even that...their parent's country of origin. Again, I say, WTF is the matter with these people.

Indeed. Scanning through the links I see most everyone has the exact same story and video word for word, mysteriously with no linking backup. I also don't see in the video where they were told to stop doing anything. So at this point it's just what someone is "claiming" so did it really even happen? I suspect we're just drudging up old stuff and pasting a new face on it. However, any reason to be outraged among those fox folks eh?

As a side note - no wonder todays schools cant get respect, everyone tries to second guess their every move and undermine their authority... You think the kids don't see that?

I would be insulted by it, as I said...

I consider myself a pretty loyal American...

And, obviously, by your post, you seem to feel like their intention was to insult them...

    - - - Updated - - -

Because they are trying to insult their heritage...

It sounds like the Nanny State has taken good care of you since you've obviously never had to learn how to deal with insults before.

But it's only an effective insult that hits a sore spot if there is a grain of truth to it.

Illegal aliens and even Hispanics born in this country often wave the Mexican flag as an in-your-face taunt to Americans.

And when they do I think chanting "USA!" is a great way to answer them.

Then feel free to show me that the kids at that school are illegal aliens...

And you can (*)(*)(*)(*) off with your nanny state comment...

Nanny state has jack (*)(*)(*)(*) to do with being insulted at a race-based comment...

It has to do with ignorant ass people trying to offend others who are different...

I hold zero respect for either people who make such comment, or, people who support that type of behavior...

:alcoholic:Well if this is going to insult their heritage...then just maybe they are living in the wrong country. Here in America we are pround to state U.S.A. when we want to.

    That's nonsense logic...

I'm proud to be from the US, but, someone chanting "USA, USA" at me, for no logical reason, would insult me...

:clapping:Fair. You hold zero respect for either people who make such comment...and there are many who hold zero respect to those that believe chanting U.S.A. in America is racism.

I don't need a rap sheet on the kids to know that California has many illegal alien students.

So don't be surprised if a few turn up at the predominantly Hispanic school in this story.

BTW: I can tell by the rest of your post that you really enjoyed my Nanny State observation.

Another comment with a grain of truth perhaps judging from your reaction.

:alcoholic:No logical reason? How about they are doing it because they are proud to be in the U.S.A. Whats your excuse.

    It's not necessarily racist...

But, its definitely ignorant to chant that at other kids from the US, because they happen to be Hispanic...

    - - - Updated - - -

    Excuse for what?

I don't go around arbitrarily chanting "USA, USA" at people who happen to look different than I do...

Well of course. But are you suggesting schools cannot punish students who do so?

I would have loved in high school to call some of my teachers useless (*)(*)(*)(*)-sticks.. although I doubt claiming "Thats my 1st ammendment right!" would have kept me from getting in big time trouble for doing so.

:angel:You sound like your nitwit leader in the WH. Always going around playing it easy to what he says. Only problem is ones like you and that nitwit are just too easy to see through.

And ones that look different than you? Sounds like racism to me. Why else would you feel that way. They are on American land and should expect it...if not they should get the hell out.

I don't have any nitwit leader...

I do have a Commander-in-Chief in the WH, but, that's beside the point...

    And, see through?

Only because my point is very obvious...

    And, what should someone expect?

To have "USA, USA" chanted at them because they are Hispanic, even though they're from a high school, in the US?

Sounds to me like you are assuming, with no evidence, that the kids at the HS in question are illegal aliens, who deserve for people to chant things at them because of their heritage...

    That is beyond stupid...

    Thanks for trolling, again...

And your ignorant ass nanny state comment shows that, once again, you don't have a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing clue what you're talking about...

    But, that's commonplace for you...

I am one the most non-PC people you would ever meet...

What I don't do, however, is try to insult people based on their race, ethnicity, or anything like that...

That type of behavior is reserved for idiots...

I didn't know that being an illegal alien was unique to Mexicans.

We learn something new every day, don't we?

    Who said "Mexicans," specifically?

However, being that the story takes place in the San Antonio ISD, and, it's well known that the city of San Antonio has a pretty high number of people of Mexican heritage, if you can't put that simple case of 2 & 2 together, you probably shouldn't comment anymore...

The incident occurred during a basketball last week between Camarillo High School and Rio Mesa High School in Ventura County. A school administrator pulled aside four boys and told them to either remove their American flag bandanas or leave the game. The boys complied but returned to lead the crowd in a chant of “USA, USA.” Camarillo High School principal Glenn Lipman told the Ventura County Star that the students were told to remove the bandanas as a “precaution” – because the two schools have “diverse student bodies.” Both schools have a large Hispanic student population. Student Austin Medeiros and the other boys were suspended for their actions – but the punishment was later lifted by school officials.

I thought it was in California, which is even more infested with illegal aliens from Mexico than San Antonio is.
