Jerusalem is not the West bank pick up a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing history book and stop getting your education in a Madrassa, under the partion plan Jerusalem was to be an international zone, however, after the Arabs instead of agreeing to said partition attempted to exterminate the nascent state of Israel and all Jews therein, it fell into Arab hands but when the Arabs in yet another unprovoked war of aggression attempted to push the Jews into the sea in '67 the Israelis came into control of Jerusalem, and now Jordan has relinquished all claims of sovereignty over said territory, there is only one state that claims sovereignty to Jerusalem and it is Israel.

It was Canaanite land from 2000 BC down to around 1500 BC at which point it was owned by Egypt .. part of the nation of Egypt.

In 1178 BC the Battle of Djahy (Caanan) between Ramses III and the Sea Peoples marks the decline of the middle kingdom.

Around 1000 BC, David is said to have attacked and captured the city of Jerusalem.

Prior to this there are no Israelites (Israelites - as Jews do not technically exist yet) to speak of in Jerusalem and nor is this city of any importance to Israel prior to David.

The idea that Jews/Israelites were the only nation state in Jerusalem for 10,000 years is beyond the realm of sanity.
