    Pasithea said,

Well funny that you don't call the other pro-aborts out on this forum...for believing that abortion should not be denied any woman for any reason any time. You have no clue to what others really believe. Most the pro-lifers I know believe abortion is murder. They are logical thinkers. It makes sense that if that which is in the womb is a person...then killing it would be murder. This is why there is a fight in Washington...between the two Parties. This is why PP does not want ultrasounds mandatory. Personhood is the big fear of pro-aborts.
You are attacking me as a person. Can I say...I think that you would based on your position probably like doing the killing of the unborn children? Can I say your position is so warped that you would love being the abortionist? Would that be correct? Should I be allowed to say this? Do you know how I feel? Do I know how you feel?

You know your position is so extreme that I would bet that your worldview would be the one people would not want anything to do with. Because I would never associate myself with someone who had your beliefs...never.

I don't need to tell women what they did is wrong. THEY KNOW IT SKIPPY. THEY KNOW IT. They need love and acceptance and the truth...so they can address what they did. See killing and hatred is the way your position works...its all it has. It feeds off of deviancy. If you don't know what light is...then darkness an acceptable way to live.
    I feel sorry for you.

Still I have to ask all the lifers who have never had an abortion, who think it truly is murder, why do you associate yourselves with women who admit (and who regret) their abortions? They are murderers aren't they? Shouldn't you be telling them how disgusted you are with them?

You can murder and still regret, that doesn't change the fact that murder is wrong, so if you folks really believe it's murder then why aren't you ostracizing those who have had one?

You mean a group to support women who murdered their babies right? Because that's you what you think it is, right? Why do you believe so-called murderers deserve any kind of support?

The fact of the matter is that you folks really don't believe it is murder otherwise you'd be ostracizing women who had abortions and you'd be trying to get yourself put in prison to pay for what you believe is a crime of 'murder'.[/QUOTE]

I think most "pro-aborts" would agree with me that anyone is entitled to stand up for whatever they believe. We don't hate "those that have had abortions." We do hate all the lies and deceptive propaganda that usually constitutes what you call "standing up for the unborn." We hate that Planned Parenthood, which provides health care to those who couldn't otherwise afford it, is under constant attack. We hate the barrage of anti-abortion laws which only punish women and do nothing to lower the abortion rate. We hate the assault on women's rights and Roe v. Wade, the effort to criminalize abortion when it has been proven that does nothing to reduce abortion. We hate the fabricated horror stories about breast cancer and post abortion stress syndrome, and the absurd claim that science proves personhood. We don't hate women; we are advocates for them. We don't hate fetuses; we just think parents should have the right to determine the number and timing of their children, because planned families are healthier families.

I point it out when I see it. I don't care if you are paying attention or not though. So bite me.

I have to say based on the way they behave so kindly towards women who openly declare they had an abortion (aka murdered in their views) but who also supposedly deeply regret their choice that they do not really believe it is murder. Murderers are ostracized and rightly so, who wants to associate with people who premeditated and planned the killing of others, especially for what they call, 'convenience'?

And rightfully so as granting personhood to a fetus directly conflicts with a woman's right to ownership of her own uterus.

Where have I attacked you as a person? I said "pro-lifers who admit to having an abortion". Did you see your name anywhere there? You want to make it all about you that's not my problem. There is certainly more than one pro-lifer who says they regret their abortions, yet the pro-life community embraces them with open arms, they embrace people they supposedly believe are murderers of their own children. I find this baffling, don't you? This really leads us to question their true motives. Why would anyone embrace a murderer for any reason...unless for some reason they feel it will benefit their agenda perhaps?

No, I don't have the talent to go through medical school to be honest. I am more interested in art and writing as a career.

Say whatever you want. I wasn't talking solely about you and I am still skeptical as to whether you even had an abortion or not to be honest.

I am asking a legitimate question. If pro-lifers really believe abortion is murder then why do they associate with people they believe are murderers. I think this takes into question, do they really believe abortion is murder? Considering the way they kindly embrace the woman who come out claiming they had an abortion but regret it I would say no. I think they are using these women as part of their voice to ban abortion altogether, but considering what they say about abortion being murder they'd be more than happy to see these very same women locked up or even executed for their choice.

Sorry, but why do you want to make someone you believe is a murderer feel better about their choice? =/

Aw that's so sweet. I'm glad you care so much.

There are far more lies being told by the pro abortion folks than have ever been told by the other side, and you and yours are advocating homicide where we are advocating the protection of human life. Which is worthier of telling a lie to protect? The right to kill, or the obligation to save and preserve human life?

More like the right to have MY uterus, that's right because it belongs to ME, scraped clean by a physician whenever I feel like it. ;)

    Bugs you, doesn't it?

Not true. The laws you want don't protect human life; in fact, they result in more maternal deaths.

What I think is crass, gross and classless are people who want to legislate what I may or may not do medically with my own uterus.

Isn't it funny how an Anti-Choicer calls you names when you described a medical procedure but not ONE Anti-Choicer objected to one of their own advocating for shoving sandpaper up women's vagina.......but it's not really funny...

And the situation I described (to which you are responding here) is quite analogous to a physician's moral obligation to help rescue a child, should it be struggling to survive.

Where was any of that in the OP?

Oh, I know: You simply interpolated it into the discussion.

I believe that is what is known as eisegesis--not exegesis...

You would assert that an abortion doctor's killing an infant that has survived a botched abortion is a "non-existent" situation?

Do you really want to stand by that assertion?

Then he should save the child if he can. What more do you want me to say? I am certainly in no position to force people to do anything but I agree, it is would be the right thing to do, to attempt to save the neonate if this were the case.

I stand by it until proven otherwise. So far no one here has seemed to have posted any information about this happening regularly or even recently. Now I know the first thing folks will post are those people claiming to have survived a botched saline abortion way back when, but I am certainly hoping the lifers will have something much more recent in regards to this situation happening.

If not then you are all showing outrage over something that never happens.

What's funnier is that she assumes that there is a fetus in there. What if a woman was getting her uterus scraped of it's uterine lining for other purposes, no fetus involved? Such as an endometrial biopsy? http://women.webmd.com/endometrial-biopsy
    http://www.medicineonline.com/topics/u/2/Uterine-Scraping/Dilatation-and-Curettage.html

Gotta wonder if lifers still find this crass, gross and classless.

    You're assuming I thought that. I didn't. I know what a D&C is.

Obviously you don't even have a clue what it means to have class. Generally, speaking of personal medical procedures to reproductive organs in a crass way (which is exactly what your "in your face" post does) is "classless."

Had I thought you were talking about an abortion you had in that crass way, I would have called you a heinous (*)(*)(*)(*)(*).

    Yeah...I do.

Now, now. Take care to watch the personal attacks here.

Also I have never had an abortion for the record. But I do believe I have every right to have my uterus scraped for whatever reason I need to and nobody can tell me otherwise no matter how much they want to.

You find a medical procedure crass and gross. Well time to get over it.

Fortunately, I didn't personally attack ....Now, now...take care watch your hypocrisy. ;)

But why not?! There's supposedly nothing wrong with it! Why do you think it's important that we all know that you HAVEN'T had a (*gasp*) a.b.o.r.t.i.o.n...

Do you just do it for giggles?

How about colonoscopies...do you like bragging about those too? Rectal polyps? Shall we hear about those?

Some people just don't get it.....

Because I have never been pregnant. You kind of have to be pregnant to go out and get an abortion. If for some reason I became pregnant now I certainly would have one.

No I do it to get my point across. Lifers keep bawling that the fetus is not part of the woman, well fact is her uterus IS and she may do as she pleases with it, that includes having the contents inside the uterus removed, whether it be the uterine lining alone or the placenta with the fetus inside of it.

Oh...do share proudly the gory details when you have one. And tell how much you loved getting your "uterus scraped." And how proud of yourself you are that you could get pregnant and how EASY it was to decide to "scrape out" that life growing inside of you--the life that could love you and you could love. Tell how you had NO trepidation and no regrets. Tell how it's like blowing your nose, only a little messier--since all it is biological cells. Tell us that...I mean when you actually KNOW what the hell you are talking about.

I suppose being pregnant is like contracting cancer, right? Human reproduction is a disease, eh?

Man you sure like being dramatic don't you?

Most surgery is gory and gross. Our insides are full of blood so what do you expect?

And if I ever do experience an unplanned pregnancy and then an abortion I will definitely share it with you guys, bust all your bubbles about how horrific you all think it is.

Being pregnant is not a disease, but it can cause serious health issues for the woman and she is putting her health and life at risk to bring a baby into the world so it should always be her choice whether or not she wants to risk her health and life to do so.

My cousin had a baby a few years ago and suffered serious complications. They did an emergency C-section on her, the baby died moments after birth and then she started to hemorrhage and blood clots were blocking her veins. If my uncle hadn't have been there to hear her whisper how she felt weird then she probably would have died. He got the doctors immediately and they put her on blood thinners. She had to remain on blood thinners for over a year and she was absolutely terrified of getting pregnant again. After a horrific and tragic experience like that I am not surprised she didn't want to go through that again. I do not understand why lifers expect women to put themselves at risk of these things and behave like nothing can ever go wrong in a pregnancy and that you'll just be perfectly fine, normal and dandy after birth, like there is no weakening of the pelvic floor or that there is no such thing as post-partum depression and other things.

So I was right all along about being classless. 'Kay--I got it.

There are health BENEFITS to pregnancy and childbirth too, you know.

Whoa, whoa, whoa....How many pro-aborts throw a hissy fit about "stories" about the tragic consequences of abortion and claim they're rare or deny there are lasting physical/emotional risks to having an abortion?

Forgot the warning about being a HYPOCRITE, eh? ....TYPICAL.

Why do you feel you have to sling insults?

Are you going to share them or are you just going to continue to overuse the eyeroll emote?

I am going to politely request that you refer to my position as pro-choice because that is what I am, pro-choice. Thank you.

Anyways, yes, I have noted that anecdotes are irrelevant many times. Feel free to ignore my anecdote if you like, but it would be nice if lifers stopped pretending that all childbirth ends up with happy giggling smiling babies and mothers, because it does not. Time to come back to reality.

It's not an insult when it is fact.

Share what? The well known benefits of pregnancy (not the least of which is a new life). Yes...that deserves an eye roll

Then YOU should also refer to MY position as "pro-choice" since there are SOOOOOOOOOoooooooo many "choices" to be made prior to killing the life in the womb. PLUS, I'm pro-choice for the human being that is currently a slave to his or her mother's choices. Give that human being the right to "choose." Mom already made several "choices."

Where has that been said? In my opinion, abortion is a human rights violation. It's rightly called a travesty and an atrocity. When we become a civilized society (if), abortion will be viewed in the same way we view genocide.

    On this point, we agree.

Well, the OP itself suggest that it really does "happen."

And, of course, there is also the case of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, the abortionist in Philadelphia, who is accused of killing infants that were born alive: http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/local&id=7906881

(True, the man has not yet been convicted of anything. But the evidence does seem overwhelming. And you did ask for something "recent"...)

Well if it's any consolation I did apologize to you in one of them and admitted to behaving in a snotty way, but falena deleted it for being off-topic. So hope there's no hard feelings Felicity.
