Typically a defendants' past actions are only allowed until after conviction to show a pattern (sentencing guidelines) ... that is, finally culminating in a serious offense ... so no I'm not exactly sure why this evidence would be introduced ..

As a liberal, I'm convinced that the evidence is too thin to support a "beyond reasonable doubt" conviction.

 

Keep in mind the entire defense was little more than a shuck 'n jive hack 'n quack Kabuki Theater ... to the place of near contempt.

 

Very hard to believe they allowed the mixed martial arts term stand without inquiring into the style used and trained towards. I feel that is the key that's missing from the equation.

What happened with the first rebuttal witness?

Asked a question by the prosecution and objected to by the defense and suddenly the defense team is apparently making submissions of another nature.

What did I miss?

 

Heard this mentioned on Limbaugh today. Prelude to Orwell's 1984?...Department of Justice acting in a manner that would seem to be prejudicial in the extreme, in fact...acting in a direct and decidedly unjust manner. The jackbooted weight of the federal government of the USA being brought to bear squarely on the neck of an American Citizen when that citizen had been investigated but not charged is a quiet terror of a tyrannical spirit. Truth is like light as it destroys the effects of darkness. Thankfully the Obama Administration's violation of individual rights are being brought more and more to light.

 

Well right now we're listening to O'Mara plead incompetence in the case of Donnelly & Good.

 

My understanding is that a rebuttal witness is supposed to be questioned on direct testimony. He wasn't brought for that so the Judge (Nelson) said he couldn't testify to subject the State wanted to raise.
