Zimmerman taking the stand is ridiculous, especially given the near Kafkesque
volumns of collected one-sided Media reporting and hype assaulted on
every vestige of his character.Yet hardly an inkling on Trayvon.
Now the Jurors will be dogged and smeared and distorted and besmirched
all in an effort to get to the next stage. The Real stage. The - Critical Race Theory -
stage which was Obama's real interest at Harvard.Along with his mentor,Professor
Derrick Bell.I wonder what Harvard Law review articles were penned by Obama
    concerning civil rights.

I normally dont like law suits against companies just because they have big buck. But in this case, I hope Zimmerman sues for and wins millions!!!!!

It will be a warning to so called news organizations that they cant lie about the news, they should only report the truth.

"Not my problem that jurisprudence says civil-actions happen even after immunity .... it's yours."

    Taxcutter says:
Nobody is claiming immunity and it is entirely possible that Zimmermann might be called to the stand by plantiff's counsel. But lawyers have a saying: "Never ask a question in court if you don't know the answer." My question for exotix is just what do you think Zimmermann is going to say? Is there any reason to think he is going to change his story one iota? If a plaintiff's attorney puts Zimmermann on the stand he re-iterates his story as told in the criminal; procedure. I just don't see how re-iterating his story in any way hurts his position in a civil case.

So why would a plaintiff's attorney call Zimmermann to the stand?

That, and Zimmerman has been found not guilty. No matter what he says on the stand, he will still be not guilty of the crime of killing Trayvon Martin.

^crazy talk here. I kept my TV turned off because every sound bite on every channel was demonizing Trayvon. and touting Zimmerman as the next Pope.

You musta been watching cartoons or something. not the actual trial.

Around a dozen, and by the time this gets to trial you can bet that number will increase. You can also know that not a one of them supports the innocence of Zimmerman and not a one is a conservative in any way shape or form

NBC, ABC, Fox, CBS and CNN have lawsuits filed against them almost every week so this is nothing new, just that this time its a high profile lawsuit. All the companies have a staff of attorney's to deal with lawsuits, so for them, its just another day at work. Sharpton likewise is used to be sued; the Martin family is a different story, but they'll most likely get someone either pro-bono or donations to pay for their attorney. They'll drag out the case for years costing Zimmerman a small fortune in attorney fees, making him wonder what kind of advice he's getting from his attorneys.

Nothing to really get excited about unless you have no life and following this stuff is what works for you.

Only thing I would add, not sure the editing really did anything to change the context of the story.

I'm fairly confident that NBC's Attorney's will make that argument as well.

Agreed.. the editing didn't change the conversation. I don't see how George can win against NBC.

I'd make it even money that Zimmermans attorney's know they won't win, but hoping instead for a settlement from NBC of some sorts.

Well he did say "Effin Coons!" clear as day...check my thread on it if the Mods didn't nuke it already. Is that not racist? truth hurts.

I disagree and I have listened to both versions and read the transcript.

When I call 911 I give a description in full without being asked... as in.. He's a large white male... sort of heavy set wearing a red plaid shirt and jeans.. and he's beating a woman and yelling.

I agree with you. The purpose of the story was to show that Zimm called in a suspicious persons report and that he described him as black. Now maybe they were making the point that maybe Z profiled him as suspicious because he was black, but Z's attorneys are going to have a tough time refuting that.

They're also going to have a tough time showing damages. The state of FL filed the charges, not NBC. If they're going to claim the state filed charges DUE TO the article, well that's going to be another tough hurdle.

The fact is those WERE Z's exact comments, they didn't alter them.

Hahaha.. maybe but NBC will string them along for years.

If you called 911 on a suspicious person or a lawbreaker would you give the police a description or just let them guess? Its a real stupid, desperate lawsuit.

Zimmerman's lawsuit is based on butthurt feelings and no Riot.....plain an simple.

You'd think he would ride off into the sunset now that the kangaroo court sprung him free.

Zimmerman is a weak man with thin skin. He can't take a punch and he can't take being insulted. The things NBC said about Zimmerman wasn't anything compared to how Fox News treated the Martin family.
Zimmerman picked a fight with an unarmed teenager, then when he got a few scrapes from the fight he decided to end it with a gun. He deserves the reputation he earned.

Of course he will, hands down. The race baiting journalist was fired, and NBC apologized. Two others as well, which is conspiratorial in nature, which can be drawn to NBC hierarchy. He, with two others at NBC changed the narrative to fit an agenda.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/...-fired-george-zimmerman-edited_n_1453679.html

Reading his bio on ABC whom he works for now:

"He’s done groundbreaking reporting of the Aryan Nations and other white supremacy groups, corruption, scams, animal abuse, and environmental issues. His reporting has helped change in state laws, close unscrupulous businesses and put more than a dozen people behind bars."

    http://www.komonews.com/tv/people/189107931.html

Mr. Zimmerman, rightly so, will be compensated for this by NBC..although no real amount of money can undue the injustice that was done to him by NBC.

There is no proof that Martin got violent. Zimmerman was paranoid about young black men breaking into homes in his neighborhood because one black kid broke into a home in that neighborhood when a woman and her child was at home. His paranoia turned him into a vigilante who saw all black young men as a threat to his neighborhood. He confronted Martin without identifying himself as neighborhood watch. For all Martin knew, Zimmerman was a threat. Martin died because Zimmerman killed him when it could have been avoided.

Easy ... the burden is on Zimmy to show how coons/goons/punks didn't violate the civil-rights of anybody he was about to confront and shoot to death ... and therefore his reputation is ruined and will now have to fear for his life .... the rest of his life.
