Men's Rights and Women's Rights can co-exist and live peaceably side by side... something you clearly don't get. Stunted, derogatory comments such as yours above are deservedly dying. Daggy, outmoded thinking. Welcome to 2013, by the way. I am a feminist
I wish MRA's and feminists could coexist side by side, but every time you get a group of each side by side, one side always ends up getting shut down.
Feminism was created so as to allow ugly lesbian women easy access to the main stream of society. There is basically nothing of the feminist's agenda that should or could come close to be accepted by the American people.
After reading some news just now, I can say that I'm not a feminist at all, and I do in fact strongly distance myself from it. I read about some dumb idiot wanting to ban porn -but only for white men- and I read that we gave tax money to some queer-feminist and anti racist porno which was a lot of white women having sex with black guys, and any other combination -anything excluding white men of course-. Sweden is horrible, I (*)(*)(*)(*)ing hate this country. I don't want to live here. Country full of freaking idiots, hating me for being white, straight and male. I just want to move to another country, eat some chips and watch sweden burn, as it surely will.
I find that most "isms" end up causing more contentious problems than they solve. It becomes an exercise in pigeonhole stuffing, and too many times the birds really won't fit without being killed in the process.
Your dogma here illustrates quite clearly that it is you who does not understand my position. Because you have been poisoned by Marx. And you don't even realize it.
Certainly. He's a dead jackass who is quite possibly the most ignorant man who ever lived. He believed in a philosophy that put man as the highest authority which could only actually work in reality if men were perfect. He didn't understand that his views could only lead to tyranny, destruction, and oppression because he didn't understand human nature. Many people since have bought into his foolish ideology under the same naive beliefs and misunderstandings. And every time it's attempted, it always ends the same way. Because it's the only way that it can ever end. This is the difference between an ideologue and a pragmatist. A pragmatist recognizes when something is destructive and seeks a different avenue. An ideologue doesn't care. He will relentlessly jam the square peg into the round hole until he has either ground the peg into a circle, ripped the hole into a square, or some combination of the two.
Okay, let's just cut the foreplay here. Given the quotes in your signature, are you doing what it looks like you're doing? Are you attempting to grill me here to try to ensnare me in a perceived misrepresentation? Just be honest. We'll get a lot further a lot quicker.
It is obvious you don't really know anything about Karl Marx and I doubt you know much about Adam Smith either. You seem to be just a superficial zealot without any real information. Therefore, we are done. I don't think you would know honesty.
My dogma, lol. I'm not pushing dogma here. That I say men and women can coexist and live peaceably side by side, you call dogma. I thought it was just common sense and wishing for equanimity for all. According to you, I've been poisoned by Marx and don't even realise it. Well, you clearly DO realise it - so please tell me why. O, great knower of feminist motivations. What a special psyche God has given you... to KNOW for others what they don't know. But I'm not impressed quite yet, please kind sir, tell me about my feminism. Yes, I may be living here in my own skin with my passions and my very own unique character, but I clearly need intervention from a Men's Righs Advocate who is derogatory to feminists to put me right about my feminism. O, (*)(*)(*)(*), LOL!!!
A feminist is, and always has been, anyone who favors political, economic and social equality for women and men. So, if you think that people should be judged according to their own unique strengths, abilities and weaknesses, and NOT according to what someone else thinks their strengths, abilities and weaknesses "ought to be" because of their gender, then YOU are a feminist ! I am a feminist...
And off he goes. Running away from a debate he knows he's not going to win. What a fitting screen name. "VanishingPoint." For the record, my uncle is a history professor. And we were actually just discussing Marx a couple of weeks ago.
This is what feminism should be, but I feel many female supremacists simply call themselves feminists so they can push their agenda.
I didn't say feminists hate men. I meant female supremacists or more accurately, radical feminists, that hate men. I've actually encountered many radical fems on gender related forums in the past. They won't come right out and say they hate men, but rather they try to blend in with regular feminists so they can further their agenda.
They hate men for what reason? I know some lesbians that say they hate men but not a feminist. You are actually talking about sexism not feminism.
Because many of them buy into the idea that all men are potential rapists and oppressors of women. They also believe masculinity is inherently oppressive and must be destroyed. As for your last point, many feminists are sexist. Just take a look at some of the quotes below: "I claim that rape exists any time sexual intercourse occurs when it has not been initiated by the woman, out of her own genuine affection and desire." -- Robin Morgan, Mrs. Magazine editor "To call a man an animal is to flatter him; he's a machine, a walking dildo." -- Valerie Solanas, Authoress of the SCUM Manifesto "The male is a domestic animal which, if treated with firmness...can be trained to do most things." -- Jilly Cooper, SCUM (Society For Cutting Up Men, started by Valerie Solanas) "I want to see a man beaten to a bloody pulp with a high-heel shoved in his mouth, like an apple in the mouth of a pig." -- Andrea Dworkin "Heterosexual intercourse is the pure, formalized expression of contempt for women's bodies." -- Andrea Dworkin All of those women were high profile feminists back in the day and were largely responsible for Second Wave Feminism.
I imagine most of those quotes were taken out of context. I think you are talking about women that want to change from a patriarchal society to one more egalitarian. I understand what you are talking about now but it has nothing to do with hating men. Hating men is not even logical. There cannot be one without the other. I think what these women are referring to is institutionalized patriarchy. That sometimes does oppress women. One example of this is in medicine.
