The President is in command of the military, that doesn't mean he can act unilaterally though. Of course he has to abide by law.

 

When the media has set him up, how everything he does is right, whats the problem with pointing out when he's wrong? Republicans did NOT do this to him. HE did this to himself by not stopping his followers from treating him like the second coming. He could've easily told them that he did NOT like the extreme adoration and praise. But being the narcissist that he is, he loved EVERY second of it. Also when your brilliance and genius is shoved down all our throats with little actual evidence behind it, when he mispeaks, why not bring it up. The thing is when he mispeaks, its just the true Obama coming out.

Seriously, compare it with the vile attacks that Palin went through, any criticism of Obama is an ant hill. No one put Palin on any genius lists either. If the media treated Obama like how Palin was so maliciously mistreated, he wouldn't have won a second turn. Probably wouldn't have even been elected. NO way on earth. Even Bush, who was not a stupid man was maligned just because he had a southern drawl. Yet, Obama goes from Harvard speak to attempting to sound like a normal African American at times(yes, whats normal), and isn't criticized? Ask him why he shifts his way of speaking? Sorry, but that is not how it goes. Commanders do refer to "my men" because they acknowledge that they are responsible for the well being of their men. Same with "my boat".

Actually, for up to 90 days the POTUS needs NO authority from Congress to use the military.

NONE, NADA, its simply a nicety if he does, and of course doing so before hand guarantees that after 90 days Congress won't cut off spending, which by law they can do.

I say again, not EVERYTHING Obama does is evil. He doesn't think the US military is his own private military, that's just stupid.

 

For all practical purposes the U.S. military is President Obama's military and he has every right and reason to think so. Obama will be remembered as the greatest U.S. commander in chief ever.

Unlike most commanders, Obama leads by example and not by fear. His troops follows him because they like him, not because they fear him. The foremost reason why today's military is so effective, efficient and successful is because Obama's troops love, respect and idolize him.

It is, but as far back as I can remember no other president ever uttered those words. It has always been the people's military, never their own. The arrogance and apparent ignorance is not missed by many... There are maybe a handful of president's that could make that claim and it would be true, Obama is not one of them...

The military obeys Obama because as long the orders he gives are legal, they are obligated to do so, no other reason. And certainly not because they like or dislike him.
