Just like Hitler, the left doesn't care about people's wellbeing. All they care about is controlling the masses. The Real Father of Universal Healthcare Adolf Hitler
Nice to know Hitler is alive and well in every other Western nation. Nice to know that a healthy population is the goal of the Nazis. Nothing new to discover that you swallow smears so easily, so long as your hated enemy is being smeared.
Laugh all you want, I think it will eventually happen. We already have legal euthanasia in a few states, and any statisics you look at show that something like 80-90% of a person's lifetime healthcare costs are incurred in the last few years of their life. Add to that the plain logic that people with certain chronic diseases or debilitating injuries cost more, much more, than their peers. Say what you want, but I want you to come up with a reason why bean counters, looking only at cost, are not going to notice obvious trends and use said trends to control costs. Explain why someone who's trying to control the costs of HC, isn't going to cut people out of the program if they have chronic diseases. Explain to me why, given that a lethal injection costs less than a month of alzheimer's disease nursing care, that the government won't eventually say "we'll pay to have granny murdered, but she can't have a nursing home bed" Explain why we won't do the same with cancer patients (do you know how much chemo costs?), quadrapeligics, or other people who need very expensive health care? Saying that it won't happen isn't good enough. Show you work. Show me why a government isn't going to do that.
Hitler was also a well-known lover of animals; I knew those shelters were evil! Your article gives the impression that without universal healthcare, everyone is contracting for their own coverage. Unfortunately, the vast majority of Americans have always been subject to the whims of employers and insurance companies, and we've all been paying for other people's healthcare through insurance premiums for years.
Honestly unless we find a way to fix our current system got no real right to complain about anyone else's, because our current system almost makes death camps look like a better heathcare alternative - there's a reason why no Aussies or Canucks flock here in masses to get some of our healthcare, and why even right-wingers in those countries don't envy our Medieval system one bit. (ObamaCare isn't even "universal healthcare anyway" - it's just the govt using businesses as their 'healthcare plan', instead of creating an actual national plan). If there was a concrete free market plan to get the costs down out of the Weimar Republic range (w/o insurance, you might pay as much to fix a sprained ankle as you would for a brand new Corvette), I'd prefer that, but at this point anything's better than what we've got.
What I have read of Obamacare possible life given surgeries may be denied if you are above a certain age. Then you have to have "end of life" talks with your physician. So in this instance the OP's item is correctly related to Obamacare and the power it will have over a certain segment of the American population...namely the elderly.
Just what was untrue about the article? Just because the site isn't always feasible/truthful etc does NOT mean the information offered isn't.
The Real Father of Universal Healthcare – Adolf Hitler Yeah, that's what I think about when I hear 'Nazi': health care.
I don't regard the paranoid ravings of some nut sitting in his kitchen in San Diego assembling non sequiters out of disjointed facts as a reliable source for historical references. Particularly when he cite no source for his claim, nor does he point to any historic event that suggests his notions are correct. Yes, I am interested in historical fact. Which is why I found this article, written well before the paranoid right wingers started labelling anything they didn't like "Nazi". If you read the entire article, it too, discusses eugenics and euthanisia of the Nazi era. But it also makes clear that the notion of universal health care in Germany was well established before Hitler came to power. Just for the record. Bismark introduced the idea of universal health care in 1883. Hitler was born in 1889.
I'll call flat out lie there. Where did you read that? What section of the affordable care act states that? Quote it. I don't believe you have read any of it at all, provide a specific link within the ACA law or retract your lie.
I was under the impression that it was the Soviet Union that first brought in free universal healthcare.
Sorry, you started with Otto von Bismarck, and a plan he created before Hitler was even born, then turn straight off into Hitler. I call this a "garbled mess fail". I suggest you do your own research, and write your own pieces. I myself am against Obamacare, but saw that as a bunch of coprolite.
