I like a lot of the Seahawks players. As a Packers fan, if we don't get there, I will be pulling for you guys.
Pete Carrol is a good coach and has done well with the team. The major issue that I see for the team is that if they do make it to the SB, the game isn't in Seattle. Given the level of the competition among the AFC playoff teams, Seattle would be facing a very strong challenger vs what the NFC has in the playoffs.
Go Rams. Whilst the Seachickens, as they are so fondly referred to around these parts, are a good team, a very, very good team, they seem to be slipping as of late, whilst my beloved Niners seem to be peaking at the right time. I do think the Seahawks will win the NFC west, but they have a couple of hard games ot go until the Superbowl.
The Niner's are a very good team but they will become better when their QB learns to move in the pocket instead of run out of the pocket. Pete Carol is a great College coach and I am glad he is having success in the NFL. As a long time Patriots fan I watched Pete Carol struggle to coach at the big league level as his Rah! Rah! GO! GO! attitude just did not go over well with professional NFL players who know all too well the importance of winning. My team the Patriots are doing what the Patriots do...winning with the players they have as the Pat's have lost most of their top players to injuries...yet as long as Brady is at the helm...one never knows how far the Patriots might go. We will most likely win tomorrow against the Bills and in doing so secure a First Round Bye in the Playoffs....if Denver losses and the Pat's win....we will secure the number one seed and have Home Field advantage throughout the playoffs as we beat Denver. as a Pats fan I at least acknowledge our faults receiving corps is lesser than before lack of a serious run game against strong defenses lack of a pass rush
Yes they did. I will not call them the Seachickens. Today at least. Whereas my Niners barely beat, with a whole lot of luck, a slightly better than average team.
I'm a Hawks fan, but I'm afraid defenses have Russell Wilson figured out. Teams have started running there defensive ends out wide eliminating play action, and play action is were Wilson does most of his damage, but I think Wilson is holding back, and he's going to run more in the playoffs, especially between the gaps left open by the ends.
What was the name of that old Seahawks player...blonde hair....was in a few Biker Movies....Brian Bosworth!!! Didn't he wear a shirt or headband in College that said...NCAA...National Communist's Against Athletes? AboveAlpha
Brian who??? I don't know what you're talking about-lol Where's the embarrassed icon when you need it???
Be thankful you have Pete Carol. The Pats owner...Robert Kraft saw something in Pete Carol and gave him a shot after Bill Parcels....but Pete was just not ready for the NFL as yet. Kraft of course has and has had for quite some time coach Bill Belichick who I and many others believe is the best coach EVER in the NFL. Of course it helps to have Tom Brady but Belichick did draft him in the 6th or 7th round when no one else would. I would LOVE to see a Patriots/Seahawks Super Bowl as we have already beat Denver and Manning is somewhat of a Patriots Whipping Boy...but I will admit Manning has GROWN quite a bit from the days when after being destroyed in the Playoffs and AFC Championship games against the Patriots...Manning would cry and complain and blame everyone on his team from his receivers to his line all the way to the coaches after such losses. I noticed this improvement by Manning after he broke Tom Brady's 50 Touchdown Record and Manning was gracious enough to say..."Brady will probably break my record next year."...as the old Manning would NEVER have said something like that. I have been a life time Patriots fan and I remember the days back in the early 1970 when Oakland was our nemesis to the 2-14 Dick McFearson coached years to the Kraft era. Bob Kraft is without a doubt the best owner in the NFL as he was a FAN first and sat on a bleacher seat which was part of the old Foxborough Stadium. Kraft used his own money to build the best and most modern stadium in the NFL and the ONLY money spent by the state was to improve roads to the stadium which has MORE then been paid back in taxes. EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE used to film the other team practicing in their home facilities. The reason this became an issue is because disgruntled Jets coach Eric Mangini, a former Patriots assistant, tipped off league officials that the Patriots might have been filming their signals. This was standard practice all over the league as they would ALL film the other teams practices. AboveAlpha...p.s...the NFL knew everyone was doing it and that is why not that much was made of it.
I would hardly say that 750K in fines and forfeit of a draft pick is "no big deal", and I also find it interesting that the Pats haven't won a superbowl since.
We have been in the Superbowl two times after and almost won both times as it came down to the final minute and the Giants made some once in a life time plays to beat the Pats. We are also almost ALWAYS every year in the AFC Championship Game and I think we will be there again this year probably against Denver....WHO WE BEAT this year!!! AboveAlpha
None of the above changes anything in my statement. The facts remain, since spygate, NE has not won a Superbowl, this remains irrefutable. But if that is what helps you sleep at night, by all means, carry on.
What you say is true....but at the very least we are in the thick of it...the Playoffs every year and that is enjoyable to watch. Our coach and owner do not believe in rebuilding years....they intend to win every year. AboveAlpha
Robert Kraft is one of the best owners in the league, he understands his role as owner, he hires people to make football decisions. I do not believe that h involves himself in personnel decisions. Dan Rooney is another one. They know they are there to sign the checks nothing more. Now, my teams owner on the other hand....leaves a lot to be desired.
