Top donor to Republicans? UPS Keep this in mind the next time you hear about those sinister Koch brothers who are using their wealth to control American politics. http://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/list.php
Your link doesn't include one single dollar of money given to 501c4 groups. The Koch brothers founded and control two of the largest, American's for Prosperity and the Club for Growth, and nearly every single tea party group is a 501c4. Your post has little real validity, and the disclaimer in your own link makes clear: - - - Updated - - - It's not surprising the USP is the biggest open donor to the GOP. Koch spends far more money, but they hide it. UPS and FedEx are both big GOP donors. Which is why the GOP Congress has obliged them by saddling their largest competitor, the USPS with onorus pension funding requirements that are the sole reason that USPS is losing money.
Seems to be quite valid to me. All this pointing fingers at Koch brothers for doing what liberals do too. Nobody knows how much unaccounted for money was spent by either party. Just assumptions because so and so is rich he must have spent x amount of dollars. If you know how much they spent, then guess what? It's accounted for and not hidden. Quite frankly who really cares as long as it's legal? Who cares if a candidate has 2 billion 1 billion or 3 million spent on him/her? If he/she is the best candidate vote for them, if not vote for someone else. It's too easy.
The Koch brothers don't give to conservative Republicans, the Koch bothers pour their money into the Cato Institute, an ultra-conservative think tank that publishes pseudo-academic research papers that promote their agenda. It's much like the Heritage Foundation and other "scientific" organizations.

More importantly to note is that the 16 donors larger than UPS are either 'on the fence' or donate more heavily to the Dems. Mostly the latter, like the #1 ActBlue, which has given 0% to Reps, and donated more than 5x as much as Koch Industries.
Dollar amounts and links to facts are unimportant. The liberal agenda demands one to look at the world in terms of conflict. If someone is rich, it obviously was at your expense. There is always a zero sum gain. And to have that conflict and to rouse up the base, you need a bogey man. The Kochs are that bogeyman. They are no where near as powerful or controlling as liberals make them out to be. Eventually the facts will come out, although the liberals will cling to the Koch brothers, probably because it took so long to learn to spell their names. But when the facts prove the Kochs to be rather benign, then they will find a new bogeyman.
