There are way too many guns out there.

If there were no guns, there wouldn't have been a gunman to shoot in the first place.

How do you propose to do that? Any time someone mentions gun confiscation the progressives call people "paranoid".

Listen to the parents from Newtown, Oakland, Red Lake, Springfield, OR, Columbine and dozens of others. Don't listen to Wayne Lapierre.

the parents should not of allowed the kids to have access to guns, they should be held partially responsible - with rights comes responsibility

And the law determines who is responsible enough to carry a weapon.

most republicans and democrats want gun ownership to be a privilege rather then a right - which is fine with me as long as you remove it from the constitution first

as long as gun ownership is a constitutional right... it should be treated that way, to do otherwise would be unconstitutional

Yup, we need more guns because people have more guns...

...a father in my area just shot his son over a cable TV bill...if only the son had a gun he could've killed his father first..but of course, he had no idea the old man would use that handy shotgun on HIM!...over cable TV...

where does the constitution say you have the right to bare arms unless the gov doesn't want you too?

again your confusing having a privilege with a having the right.. you seem to want the former

And of course the gun grabbers will try to say that we need more guns laws irrespective of the fact that there is not one law that will stop gun crimes.

Yep. Just like I do not want blind people driving, I do not want people with a history of crime or mental illness having a weapon.

congress can not pass laws that are unconstitutional, saying the 2nd amendment did not apply to all Americans equally would be unconstitutional

just like creating laws saying that the first amendment did not apply to all Americans equally

now if it was a privilege like driving a car, they could make all the laws restricting that privilege they wanted too, as long as it's a constitutional right, we should treat it as such

Or, the guy just could have robbed the store.

Or, the guy with the concealed weapon could have disarmed the robber and held him for the police.

my guess is in the future the 2nd amendment will be removed\changed cause of people like you that want to treat gun ownership as a privilege

and again, I am ok with this.. once it's removed from the constitution, make all the laws you want to restrict the privilege from your fellow Americans, just don't complain when they come after your guns

Or the 'robber' could've shot someone to show he meant business, or attempted to shoot everyone because he didn't want witnesses.

Or he could've been killed in his attempt to disarm the robber.

Nope, I'd say this was the perfect outcome, and it needs to happen far more often.

    Hurray for Mr. Ellis!

Buy him a beer. Or better yet, give him a one-year tax exemption.

I know to the right the constitution is just a piece of paper, but to some of us it means much more...

it's good you have the address, now if you want to make it a privilege, work on getting the right removed from the constitution first

The courts have spoken. The laws are what they are. Go and change them if you don't like them. Crying to me won't help you.

Now, one more time. Can you cite the 1st as a defense to calling a black person the NWORD?
