Not a common name - could be someone different and it could be the same person setting up a scenario to look like a hero so he gets off on the rape charge

Why does this sort of story not happen outside the USA?

 

Not every liberal wants to ban firearms. But many, or maybe most, want to restrict them... like not allowing guns in dollar stores.

It's amazing, but the mass murderers never seem to choose a spot to commit their crime when there's a CCW gun owner nearby. For some reason, the CCW people only show up to stop the shooter before he gets to three. Is it that the democrats and nutsos planning on committing mass murder choose only DemocRAT defined Gun Free Zones because they're easy targets, or is it because guns in the hands of citizens prevent random acts of murder from becoming random acts of mass murder?

They support throwing 6,000,000 people off the insurance they're happy with so King Obama can pretend 7,100,000 people signed up for ObamaCare.

They support red lines in the sand, but not the military might needed to make such a line mean anything.

They support economic policies devoted to killing jobs, and then blame people who aren't in office for the dearth of jobs.

This may sound crazy, but no matter how much legislation you write, the criminals will always have guns. Criminals don't follow laws, shocking I know, but I would want everyone who can pass a concealed carry class with no prior felonies should have a gun.

Do you think if everyone on Ft. Hood carried a side arm, that this guy could go off and shoot 19 people? Or do you think he may have gotten a few and then been taken out? Or, more likely, he would have gone to one of these "gun free zones" and fired there.

Gun nuts really hate gun-free zones. There were armed guards at the navy yard and Columbine. The shooters know they'll end up dead regardless, so your assumption that they won't carry out a shooting because they'll get shot is false. Your assumption that they won't kill anyone before a "good guy" shoots them is also false. Life isn't a TV show.

Remember, kids: The only thing that stops a criminal with a gun is a criminal with a gun.

If the gun was in the hands of the passengers who didn't have their Second Amendment freedoms stolen from them when they boarded an aircraft...something the Federal government is Constituitonally prohibited from doing...

EITHER condition would have prevented your pals from using commercial passenger aircraft as weapons.

Actually there are only two recorded incidents of an untrained CCW trying to stop a mass shooting - one was critically injured and the other ended up dead

We have no indication that the incident in the OP was going to be a mass shooting

 

What adequate safety checks? Are you suggesting a trained and armed Marshall would not have handled a man or two with a box cutter?
