You are a bit slow my friend, what didn't you understand in the definition of discrimination? Class .. class .. class please pay attention!
No, not in a white dominated society, he isn't unjustly treated, or prejudiced against. He isn't treated negatively. If it was a black dominated society, the answer would be the inverse. Ok class it's recess, please pack up quietly and go to the playground. - - - Updated - - - TV the year 1967 means nothing to him.
Yes, I realize you want to discriminate on the basis of belonging to a particular race, gender, etc. Why are you having such difficulties with such simple terms? - - - Updated - - - So much hypocrisy, it's really very funny. - - - Updated - - - I'm actually currently living in the year 2014.
Yes, a current form of treating people differently based on which race they belong to, i.e. racial discrimination.
Once again, the definition of discrimination: Please tell me where I have been unjust or prejudiced? Good, it's a wonder then why you are so backward
OK, so if I give a white person a job because of his race that's positive? - - - Updated - - - You're projecting.
Absolutely if they lived collectively in a disadvantaged group of high unemployment, low education and high incarceration among a high flying aboriginal society!
Well, maybe you want to live in a society to allocates rights and jobs based on people's race and ethnicity. I don't.
Discrimination IS NOT TREATING people differently, read that .. IS NOT treating someone differently, it is as defined, treating them unjustly or with prejudice. TOTALLY different.
It's really funny in what sort of convoluted reasoning the defenders of affirmative action have to twist themselves to justify treating people differently solely based on their race, gender, etc. Of course affirmative action is inherently racist and sexist, because it starts from the premise that certain people, however talented they are, can't make it as individuals because of their racial background or sex.
No, not unless it is, then it is. Now my gf is an Aboriginal, if I treat her or her family as Aboriginals in a just way and with no prejudice, then I am not discriminating against them, BUT ... if I did treat them as Aboriginals in an unjust way or with prejudice, then I would be. Simple enough?
I see, you're whole reasoning is based on the premise that it's only unjust or prejudiced if you say so. Rock solid argument!
Taking into consideration the comment you responded to from DV, that's Right! - - - Updated - - - Taking into consideration the comment you responded to from DV, that's Right! - - - Updated - - - I'm not either, I just hate seeing distinct groups of people doing it tough based on negative discrimination!
No not just me, we all know what is unjust or prejudiced. I am not sure about your country, but in Australia, legally, ignorance is no defense. We all should know morally what is right or wrong. We all should know that to give a person a job or whatever based on merit is right. WE all know to deny someone a job based on sex, age, race, religion or ethnicity etc is wrong. We all know to deny someone an opportunity based on sex, age, race, religion or ethnicity etc is negative. We all know to give someone a fighting chance in a society that is unjust or has prejudice is negative. Only those with underlying issues against those of a different sex, age, race, religion or ethnicity etc do not understand the concept. So it has nothing to do with what I say or have said, it has everything to do with the definition of discrimination. Yep, ROCK SOLID
