But returning to the subject of the methodical and therefore deliberate efforts of the left to culturally and spiritually emasculate young males in this nation, while they are having some successes in that regard they are also churning out confused and neurotic as hell underachiever types by the classroom full. Nice!

 

There is a current among homeschoolers to emphasize homeschooling boys - at least through the primary levels - so they can get the fundamentals without the psychological baggage being handed out in the unionized government-run schools.

Look for more gender-segregated private schools for boys as voucherization proceeds.

My point is how masculinity in boys is being restrained. You only saw "condoms". It never ceases to amaze me the tiny little circles the Left thinks in.

Dr. Sommers makes excellent points clearly without any intervening gobbledygook and psychobabble as usual. She doesn't even get into gender norming of standardized tests towards equalizing male and female scores. Ever have a standardized test question that just seemed unduly "fuzzy" and without a clear path of reasoning attached? That's gender norming....affirmative action actually begins very young in the US.

Funny, isn't it? Dr. Sommers doesn't seem very "macho" at all, bogus or otherwise. Nor does she seem to be "hallucinating." So any meat on your hot air sandwich? Didn't think so.

 

I take no position on the entire issue at this time; I will need to research it completely prior to taking a position on it.

You took the "condoms" response out of context with the poster I was responding to; since I took no position either way I chose only to respond to a portion of the post. Try to think outside of partisanship circle and look at it objectively and you should get my point.

 

Christina Hoff Sommers is brilliant. I have two of her books; The War Against Boys: How Misguided Feminism Is Harming Our Young Men and Who Stole Feminism? How Women Have Betrayed Women. They're both fantastic reads that illustrate the rather large discrepancy between the feminist ideology and what it actually produces in reality.

 

Are you willing to admit that Christina Hoff Sommers, as a resident scholar at the ultra right wing GOP supported American Enterprise Institute, might possibly be creating all this just to tell you what you wat to hear?

Because if we make boys look victimized, the people who fall for that are less likely to vote for a woman (Hillary)

 

What ultra Left wing authors do you think are telling the truth? Don't apply a standard you aren't willing to live by.

My gawd, how ridiculous to even think this is a RIGHT or LEFT issue. This is a sociology issue driven by several factors that includes the economic erosion of the family, a societal shift for the role of males, and an inadequate infrastructure to support the development of boys into men. To blame this on political ideology is the height of ignorance.

Really? So you are saying that rightwingers advocated treating boys like girls? Do tell us more. I mean, this assertion of yours would be the equivalent in a different subject area of saying that NRA members advocate for the removal of all weapons from the hands of citizens, but I am CERTAIN that you can support your assertion that rightwingers had anything whatsoever to do with turning boys into neurotic and underachieving girls with testicles.
