Most conservatives value the second amendment, the left does not.

The left attacks anybody and everybody they don't agree with. This is not the same for conservatives.

 

The one on the right was pretty hot before she got into Islam, the clothing and lack of makeup is not very flattering to women.

 

I couldn't care less whether she likes running her mouth or not....and I certainly do not care enough to "go digging". She is no different than you or I. We both run our mouths.....as does most people with an opinion. My point is that the argument of "she like to run her mouth" is irrelevant. It is like saying "she deserves everything she received" and that what she received is acceptable. While opposing views to her's IS acceptable, how those opposing view are expressed should be approved or shown disdain just as much as the way she expresses herself. No matter how much she "runs her mouth", it will not change my opinion towards the implication that she deserves death threats.

Viciously attacked? It's the internet, where idiots and (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s congregate to post mean, nasty things to each other and third parties without fear of reprisal. Anyone who gets any measure of media attention can expect this sort of thing these days. I'm sure president 0bama gets worse than this lady is getting, just as Bush and lots of other politicians and celebrities get worse.

Shame on Fox for even trying to make an issue of this. They're only doing it to pander to morons on the Right and to keep the hits coming to their website, which of course means more revenue for them. That's why there's so much hype in the media rather than good, factual information - it sells. It's why "documentaries" produced by any commercial entity, as opposed to, say, the BBC or PBS, tend to be special-effects laden garbage rather than decent informational television. It's all the same basic problem: Government AND media for the stupid, undereducated, hype-addicted masses.

 

Maybe because many from the left know that the 2nd Amendment does more harm than good.

No it isn't. Do you think this would be news if she received fan mail full of unicorns and rainbows? Would it be news if someone said "Hey, I strongly disagree with you....."? No, it is news because of the vileness of the responses she received. It is YOU that is making it about her. It is YOU that is implying that the responses she received are acceptable, no matter how disgusting, because "she was looking for attention". There are plenty of viewpoint just like hers, or just as extreme in the other direction, on the internet that fail to make the news. Her story did not become a news story or a thread on this forum because she is special.

While I wouldn't hassle this women, she should have expected it, and embracing a bunch of melodrama about how "vicious" the criticism was, it should be expected.

You would see criticism as bad as that or worse if she was a pro choice lady posing in front of an abortioon clinic in favor of abortion.
