Should she decide to seek the presidency, Hillary's greatest advantage will be that more people will vote against whomever the Republican candidate is than will vote for her. A win derived from negative votes is just as valid as is a win derived from positive votes. That said, I'm not yet convinced that she actually will seek the nomination. Even if she has no intention to run, she'd be foolish to admit it at this point. After all, it's more than two years yet until the election.
She is certainly being promoted by the news media as the leading candidate for the Democrats, but she hasn't officially announced.
Oh SHE's running, raising cash, making the speeches, promoting her policies, her book wasn't written to be the historical book of the times, it was purely a political move to get her face all over the place. Not working out too well for her though.
Not as much of one as before the book tour and she started campaigning, her gaffes have been horrendous and people are already turned off by her, we were poor when we left the WH so we know how people at the bottom struggle, BS. She's already stumbled about her tenure as SecState and Bill's sleazy behavior is coming back and her mistreatment of the women he abused has stuck somewhat and could get worse. Look how suddenly Warren is getting press and attention. It will really be shame if the Dems can't come up with someone better than either but right now Dems don't seem to have a choice to pick from.
Look, I understand that you won't be voting for her. It doesn't matter, because a majority of Americans probably will. Jeb Bush is the best candidate that the Republicans can offer, and I'm not so sure that he'll agree to run.

When I first saw this thread the first thing that popped into my head was: 1. Age. 2. Age. 3. Age. 4. Age. 5. Age.
hmmm let's see, the 5 reasons Hillary won't run 1: she passed away 2: the world has ended 3: We've been invaded by the Canadian army and are under Canadian rule 4: Obama uses the military to become a dictator 5: she's abducted by space aliens
she has the job if she wants it, but in the end.. it's her choice, the voters are rooting for her... 8 more Clinton Years... .
Heya Pero, good seeing you.....I see you have been keeping up on the Ole Hill-Dog. Her book was a disaster and her coming out wasn't what she thought it would be. Also word now.....she is looking to play off the excuse of having a grand-daughter. Might use that as a crutch to bow out. Especially with what she put out about BO and his Foreign Policy. Although.....when she can show she actually took care of her own family. It might be accepted as a good rational. Then there is the divide in the Demo Party. (which they have been trying to hide.) More than likely she is trying to play off the delay. See if the Demos can actually muster somebody up, that can at least give them a chance to make a showing.
It's actually sad when the only viable candidates for the Dems is a tired ole woman or a 'never done anything to speak of' woman who claims to be an Indian, but she's not. Heaven forbid they have to resort to considering a white male. Joe Biden, perhaps? ROFLMAO
As for white male candidates, I'd consider Brian Schweitzer and Jim Webb to be the most likely front-runners. It would certainly let the last bit of hot air out of the Tea Party movement if the Democrats nominated a white man, wouldn't it?
are you kidding me? Smartie, I luv ya and all but Hillary is a lock. The media has gotten the "tough" questions out of the way already which paves the way for focusing on "issues which matter today" during the campaign. When Hillary is asked about (fill in the blank), she can respond that it's already been covered by all the media in 2014. Now granted, nobody pressed for the truth or straight answers but asking the question has at least provided cover for the media as they ramp up their elect Hillary campaign Sen Warren stands a snowballs chance in Hades of winning the WH in 2016. The people do not want another person from academia or community organizer. Maybe in 2020 but not now. The people want a name that they recognize and Hillary gives them. it's like a comfy chair or blanket. It does not matter if she'll do a good job (she won't) In times of uncertainty and indecision, it's always "safe" to buy the brand you know The Democrat party knows that and is playing games to act as if Hillary is not the candidate; she is their only hope.
Webb would be a good candidate for them.....former military/Navy. Plus he knows how to run (*)(*)(*)(*). Unlike the other 90% of the Demo party. But I doubt he will make the dash.....and there would be the issue of cash. Also he is not a loyal supporter of BO.
Prob not gonna happen. Next in the Dems pc lineup is a woman... then a gay... then a Mexican. White guys are way down the line. Never heard of the two guys you mentioned. What has either of them done to deserve the nomination for POTUS?
Which has nothing to do with this discussion. At least the Republicans will be offering a choice while the Dems so far are stuck with Hillary. Tell me do you think she has helped or hurt her chances the last few months?
Mornin' SMW. Well.....besides Biden. Some were talking Jerry Brown. Plus Cuomo out of NY. Although.....now the Demos have one that is making it known he might try and make the dash. Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley is considering a run for the White House and is distancing himself from Obama on immigration issues.
Someone better? Did Obama win on his wealth of experience? Did Obama win because of all of his accomplishments? He won on hype and the media and Hollywood pushed him to where the only way you did not hear of him in a very very very positive light was if you lived under a rock I could not walk through an airport without seeing his face on at least 2 magazines Hillary comes wrapped up with name recognition and the base which likes her hubby. That means that all the Democrat party needs to do is to get the black vote and govt dependent vote to come out in large numbers. They are predicted to stay home because it won't be a big social event like with the black guy. Hillary and Bill also gives confidence to the clueless who will vote, because they always have, but like voting for a name they at least have heard of and that the media tells them is the person to pick. Only Hillary gives that to the Democrat party. Not even Biden gives them that
Honestly Smartie, it's not her decision. The party is bigger than her and if she does not take her "rightful place in the WH" then the Democrat Party will have a civil war on their hands because without Hillary, they don't keep the WH.
I don't think that she has affected her chances recently. Republicans are always looking for some way to convince themselves that she won't be our next President, but I suspect that she will be -- if she does decide to run. I'm not yet convinced that she will run, nor do i believe that the Democrats need Hillary to win in 2016.
