If he is found guilty he should face the consequences, however there is a difference between being charged with something and being found guilty. One is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond all reasonable doubt, last time I checked. As a conservative anyone deserves this, yet it's the liberals already finding him guilty.

Figures.

You can't get much of a weaker argument than this.

You have the nerve to talk about Perry going to Iowa 4 times when Obama is MIA at least 4 days a week at fundraisers when the world is falling apart. LOL I thought you people were supposed to be the "tolerant" ones but you already have him tried and convicted. So much for your "openmindedness" . BTW he wouldn't have gotten the nomination anyway.

And the fecal absurdity that is the liberal hotbed of Austin. The state capital should be moved to Waco. Ann Richards would have approved.

The right wing's unwillingness to call out the bad on their own side is always a frustrating thing.

A half billion dollars in REP POLITICAL 'PLAY MONEY' with NO OVERSIGHT. Wow, isn't that convenient?? (This is from a source about a year old but seems STILL TIMELY to tonight's discussion)...

Watchdog groups have long argued that the Texas Enterprise Fund, a taxpayer-funded program that has awarded more than $487 million to big businesses that set up shop in the Lone Star State since 2004, is a slush fund that allows Gov. Rick Perry to reward allies and political donors. Despite the criticisms, the Texas State Auditor's Office hasn't examined the fund's finances in at least a decade. Now a bipartisan group of state senators is pushing a bill that would subject the Enterprise Fund to an independent state audit. But Perry's office won't explain whether the governor backs the idea. Besides, it says, the state's top three Republicans have everything under control.

Psssst . . . that's because the Right does not conspire to slap corrupt Dems with BOGUS charges whereas the Left does that all the time to stand up Republicans and Conservatives . . . especially if said Conservative or Republican looks like he or she just might really give the Dem Party a hard run for the presidency. Odd that.

The idea that state senators would subject the fund to an independent audit is more than a year and a half old and by time the state legislature meets again Perry will be long gone from state elected office - whether or not prison has anything to do with that.

At this point in time it makes no difference whether or not Perry 'backs the idea.

It's like the hatchet job being done on Jesse Ventura of late. Pay attention - this is how corrupt government operates.

So only REPUBLICAN WHITE MEN are allowed to get caught DUI (or buying coke, or boinking secretaries or getting BJ's in mens bathrooms), go to REHAB, ask forgiveness and GET THEIR JOBS BACK?? I just want to make sure we are all up to speed on what the rules are.

This is the same bullcrap Democrat that witch hunted Tom Delay with a select Grand Jury and judge. Tom Delay was later 100% over turned and exonerated.

If anyone has seen the video of this piece of crap Democrat 3X the legal drunk limit busted for driving in jail throwing a fit, they would not be behind her. She was sticking her tongue out, kicking things, throwing fits, she had to be restrained and strapped down, and treating everyone like crap with a "Do you know who I am?" demeanor. She's pure garbage.

She was allowed to keep her position after this outrageous acts.

This is another political witch hunt by this leftists. A Governor absolutely gets to threaten veto's. What is telling is that the Grand Jury REFUSED to call Rick Perry himself to testify. These are the same tactics they used on Delay.

I suspect a part of what is going on is that the Clinton gang is playing footsies with the NON-spanish speaking Latino former Mayor of San Antonio Julian Castro. Casting a shadow over Perry would enhance their shining the light on Hillary as the Clintons bring Castro into their spotlight.
It might even help pull the silver barrel of that blue state shotgun out of Wendy Davis' mouth.

you're doing it again, Hooiser. you're playing party politics and i don't.
you know my views are not all left and i've been open about that.
i am not saying the left does not do it.
but to always deflect by saying, "well the left does it too" isn't solving the problem.
what's wrong is wrong is wrong is wrong regardless of party.

It looks like some on this forum can't take much heat from the fire. This is the typical style from the right. Someone reveals the news, while that someone is attacked for it. Got to love the tactless style of this hate party. They can throw hate on top of the thread, but forget forging a challenge to it, other than spitting out personal attacks. Stay classy my friend.
