You raise an interesting point, and it would be most helpful if all the "authorities" would release the results of the three (count 'em -- THREE) autopsies. Something would seem to be wrong if this "gentle giant" went on a strong-arm crime spree, knocking the employee of the convenience store around and then storming out into the middle of a busy street where he threatened the safety of every person who came near him. Too much sugar in his breakfast cereal? Do Swisher Sweet cigars cause people to behave like violent thugs? "Gentle giants" don't usually do the things that Brown did, and anyone, "giant" or not, would, in normal circumstances, have more sense than to charge a police officer.

The pause between the firing sequences is consistent with how police are taught to use deadly force. Obviously, the threat to the officer was not ended with the first shots, and so more shots were necessary. It's a damn good thing that the officer had a semi-automatic pistol capable of holding more than the six rounds that are characteristic of most revolvers. If the "gentle giant" needed that many bullets to end his charge on the officer, he must have been almost impervious to the number of bullets he had in him -- until the final one that hit him in the head. Cops are usually taught, "Two in the chest, and one in the head". But, if a perp is buzzed on something like PCP, it could take ten shots to get him down.

Moral of the story: avoid cigars (unless you can PAY for them), and don't go lurching around in the middle of a busy street where you present a threat and danger to everyone. OK, where the hell's the autopsy... oops -- I mean AUTOPSIES...? Prediction: Both Holder and Obama are going to slink away from this one as soon as possible. They wanted this Brown killing to be the basis for some kind of pre-election "RACISM" Tour de Force but instead everything indicates that this was simply a police officer ridding a town of a violent criminal thug. Adios, muh-fuh....

    Supposition and conjecture

    Again

What difference would it have made if the first shot, when he was further away had killed him. That he got lucky with the first shot instead of having to wait until he got closer in order to stop him?

If he's the best shooter in the force and can hit him in the head at 30' instead of not being able to do so until he is 15' away and has to fired multiple shots makes it murder?

    Please explain.

It all depends on what all the evidence shows.

The distance of the shots and the trajectory is what will tell the story

    - - - Updated - - -

Then I guess the distance of each shot he's hit with should vary...if all 6 shots hit from a good distance with out any evidence of an advance...then the cop has a problem. We just don't know yet.

I don't think the number of shots has anything to do with anything. As I asked, had he been a better shooter and hit him between the eyes with the first shot dropping him instantly it would not be an unjustified shooting? That it took more than one makes it a murder?

Zimmerman was a private citizen on his way to the store, not a security guard.

Libs who harbor a pathological hatred of white cops could be considered racists.

They just follow the example of their dear Fuhrer who hates white cops too.

I think it has already been determined Brown was advancing on him. The contemporaneous witness statement confirms it and corroborates the officers version of events. I believe there are also reports the body ended up about 15 feet from the vehicle.

You are the one saying he was shot while running. Again how do you explain all the wounds being frontal? Magic bullets or was he running backwards?

So you want to dismiss the significance of a race hustler like Van Jones conceding that the officer may have had a good reason to do what he did? I guess if Al Sharpton today expresses that there is clearly reasonable doubt in this case, you'll ignore that too?

They're trained to shoot until the threat is stopped. I can't remember the last time I heard about a cop shooting only once or twice. They empty their magazines almost every time. I don't like it, but that's the way it is.

Brewskier - you know I haven't taken sides. I'm just saying Van Jones isn't usually your go-to-guy for validation.

In the OP it was said, " In the recording, a quick series of shots can be heard, followed by a pause and then another quick succession of shots."

How many rounds did the cop's gun hold?

If one shot was fired inside the cop car, was that shot included in the ten shots? If the one shot occurred, it was not part of a quick succession of shots if Brown had time to get away from the car.

He's not my go-to-guy for anything. However, he is for many on the left concerning racial matters. When he is starting to go against the preferred narrative, it's a fair indication of how things are shaping up.

The police know how many shots were fired as do the eye witnesses. This audio of a guy talking to an internet slut is of great interest to the race hustlers and liberal porn addicts.

Good question. Why didn't the porn boy record the first shot that happened in the vehicle??

It sounds like another person lying to the police. If he did confirm to the FBI that he is claiming his story to be true.

Assuming he hit him with all 10 shots?

I didn't read the autopsy report...how many times was Brown hit, and where?

He wouldn't have to be on PCP. A really strange thing about gun shots is that short of a direct round into the head that blows the brains to bits, there is no guarantee any shot is going to stop someone, even multiple shots....especially with pistol calibers/rounds. Oh, 6 rounds WILL stop them eventually, but when discussion is on "stopping" power, the focus is on stopping them as close to immediately as possible....not 2 minutes (or more) later.

It is for this very reason the entire debate on caliber, velocity, and bullet design has raged for so many years. There is simply no way to guarantee that any commercially available pistol caliber or round will guarantee a one-shot immediate stop...period.

It is also why ammunition and firearms manufacturers constantly work to study and test various designs. The goal of course, being to produce a round best suited for a task. Certainly modern firearms and ammunition have increased their capabilities over those from years past. I also would say that the difference between the various brands' calibers, and designs (within the same class of round) don't vary significantly in terms of ballistic performance. A .308, for example is in the same class as a 30-06. They both shoot the same caliber and bullet weight range. The difference really only being in the velocity (the 30-06 able to squeeze a little more speed due to larger case capacity). However, ballistically, there's not a huge margin of difference between the two, so ballistic performance is on par. What does differentiate them though is in their physical dimensions, and that plays into various other factors, frequently debated about things like inherent accuracy, etc. The vastness of caliber/round choices provide a broad range of choice for the consumer...and of course, a platform of discussion amongst shooters as to which is "best".

Brown was a rather large person. It is totally feasible that he continued to move, even after being hit several times.

I expect this audio tape, if shown to be authentic, will certainly be introduced in the case, but at this point, what does it prove?...or is this just another attempt to whip up the Ferguson masses again?

According to the original police interview, office Wilson discharged his weapon while in the cruiser while fighting off Brown's attack in his police cruiser. A bullet hole in the floor board was confirmed. That leaves nine shots. Six shots are accounted for by the six hits on Brown. Three shots missed that might be consistent with his facial injury and the pressure of the actions.

It just doesn't make sense he would exit the vehicle, run...then turn around and charge a guy aiming a gun at him. If he had a 15ft head start why not keep running?? I don't pretend to know what happened and I'm trying to be unbiased but that senario just seems crazy.

Sure it does....if he thought he had incapacitated the officer, he would probably walk away as he felt he could get away without being arrested. Then when Wilson got out of the car and told them to stop, he turn around to finish the job. Since Wilson was armed, he would need to run in order to get to him....he would not just walk towards him. Running away probably was not something a man the size of MB would do as he would be easy to catch up to over a distance.

Here are some things that do not make sense:

    1. Wilson has only been a police officer for only 6 years. It is usually the "veterans" that have become bitter over the years dealing with criminals of all color that commit such atrocities.

    2. There is absolutely no evidence that Wilson is a racist, other than he is a white cop. Assuming he is racist based on that is no different then thinking a person is a criminal just because he is black.

    3. What person is his right mind would kill a person in broad daylight....in a populated area...with their hands up in surrender?

    4. Wilson has never had any disciplinary actions and was considered an "average" police officer. No past complaints or indication that he has even remotely crossed the line at any point in his short career. It is not normal for a person to go to such extremes for their first incident. It is normally an escalation for violent behavior.

    5. MB committed a violent act just minutes before (assuming it was him in the video). There is nothing to indicate Wilson had a violent nature. It is more than logical that MB instigated the aggression.

    6. The two witnesses that claim MB was shot with his hands up do not have creditability. One was the alleged accomplice of MB's during the store incident with a shady past, and the other wasted no time telling her "story" to the media.

    7. No facts support conclusively that the incident happened the way it has been reported...that MB was surrendering when he was shot.

    8. MB was a big man. Who pulls a guy that size into the car with them, or grabs them by the neck.

    9. People are going to great lengths to paint a picture that is designed to garner sympathy while facts are showing a different picture.

    10. There is no valid motive for Wilson to shoot Brown.

But with the bullet entry wounds in the front, then he had to be facing the officer at the time he was shot. Might sound crazy, but if he was running away, the entries would have been in the back.
