If you'll remember, the lackadaisical response to HIV/AIDS was deemed "bigoted" against gays....

I'm curious as to why the same general crowd is giving Dear Leader a virtual pass for his rather feckless response to Ebola breaching American shores.

I heard the CDC tool Tom Frieden make a case for no travel ban:

So to follow that PC 'logic', INCREASING West African travel is clearly the BEST course for America to reduce the danger of Ebola.

WTF? Really, WTF? All this to support unlimited turd world illegal aliens? WTF? No, really, WTF? Is the entire country through the looking glass?

I have soooo many questions about this hospital. It had apparently JUST GONE THROUGH a periodic drill/test/certification dealing with infectious diseases (the name of
the certification was mentioned early in the original ebloa case, I don't remember the agency or details). And this employee WASN'T among the first team, this was
someone administering care upon his RETURN to the hospital.

This is scary! Having said that, things happen! I had friend, a SURGEON about 20 years ago. He was a rich middle-easterner, came to this country, stayed, amassed
some appreciable wealth (in part as an avid art collector). He pricked his GLOVED HAND with a needle he had inserted into a patient with HEPATITIS. He was dead about 2
years later. All his medical connections and wealth couldn't buy a liver when he needed it.

Today, we have President Obola willing to prick everyone's finger by refusing to do the #1 thing in epidemic combat: QUARANTINE.

    CONTROL THE BORDER!

He was asked if he had been exposed to anyone with Ebola to which he replied no...this after carrying a pregnant woman in and out of a clinic who he KNEW had Ebola. Stating where he came from is NOT saying you had exposure, though it should have sent up red flags in the hospital. None of this in any way changes the validity of my comment.

They blew it big time. I was an oral surgery assistant years ago working briefly for a neighborhood surgeon. When I landed a job for the Chief oral surgeon at St. Lukes Hospital in NYC, I thought I knew everything that I needed to know about maintaining a completely sterile surgical environment...boy was I wrong. This guy was meticulous and EVERYTHING was done by the book...as it should be. Not everyone is as fastidious as they need to be in particular settings and clearly this hospital staff was far from up to par. I'm hearing that from this point on, if any new Ebola cases surface in the USA, they will be treated at a few select facilities. Good move.

That's real comedy. If we have a bad out break who will have first access to the vaccine that was successful with the two doctors? The President and his family maybe?

I think it's ridiculous that the Obama administration is just so unprepared....considering..........

Guess he expects of others what he's incapable of himself.

    (My bold)

Cheap @ the price. Or consider the damage to the World economy if a full-scale pandemic of Ebola - or some other truly infectious disease - were to gain ground. Each Ebola patient thus far infects, on average, 1.2 - 1.8 other people. So Ebola is nowhere nearly as infectious as the flu.

But it's vastly easier to contain the infections now, while we're still @ relatively low numbers in the World, mostly concentrated in W. Africa & Central Africa, where Ebola is endemic.

Big Pharma may simply have to take a bath, so to speak. We - the West - will probably chip in to some extent. But profits are useless, if there's nothing to spend the piles of money on afterwards. Or there is, effectively, no afterwards.

Not every body has foresight. We see this daily when it concerns environmental issues, so not at all surprising when it concerns health issues.

I think it's just a crappy hospital. My wife's aunt died there as a result of being injured by staff being moved from one location to another. It's poorly run and administered.

Yep. Duncan LIED to get here....and he continued to LIE to hospital personnel. He intentionally brought Ebola to our country and we have a president who says he WILL NOT shut down passengers from Liberia or other infected west Africa countries from coming here. And checking temps at airports will not cut it; or stop it. Everyone knows that.

And now this poor woman....this healthcare worker....this nurse.....is infected with the disease!! Shame on anyone who has made charges of "racism" when these healthcare workers......nurses, doctors, aides, technicians, and paramedics put their lives on the line each and every day to treat and take care of liars like Thomas Duncan. AND BTW, to anyone making charges of "racism".....are you aware many of these hospital healthcare workers including doctors and nurses are black themselves?????

How do I KNOW Duncan lied....and continued to LIE even up until he was admitted to the hospital the 2nd time? Because of how he answered questions asked by a DOCTOR the 2nd time he came there.....which was reported in the Dallas Morning News this morning.
    From the actual medical records:

    Sept 28: Return to Presbyterian:
"I followed strict CDC protocol," wrote Dr. Otto Javier Marquez-Kerguelen, referring to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for treating patients potentially infectious patients. Wearing a mask, gloves and full gown, he began his exam and took a history.
(Pt refers to 'patient' in his notes:

"Pt states he has not been to any rural areas or funerals recently," he noted."
    "Pt. denies any sick contacts."
    "Pt denies chills."
"Among the possible diagnosis: malaria, gastroenteritis, influenza, and Ebola."

"Duncan was placed into isolation; nurses notified country officials; the doctor called the CDC."

I don't believe in races... so... that would be difficult.

You could label me a... hmm... subculturalist? I think various cultures in America are superior and inferior to each other. Doesn't have quite the same bite, I know... but it would be most accurate. There are representatives from every quantified race that are superior to me in every way... so... a genetic predisposition simply has no purchase in my experience.

A lot of people blame staff for the death of loved-ones. There's always the need to blame someone.....whether it's the hospital, staff, a doctor, or the hospital.......or God. This time it's about money.

BTW, on this new case....CDC has already issued a statement that "protocol wasn't followed" in an effort to protect themselves for having inadequate protocol. They are already saying this without even knowing the facts yet. Proves they are quickly trying to cover their own asses.

How much must we pay for unfettered illegal alien invasion?

That above is worth at least half a dozen Dem votes, eh? And maybe a few lives as well.

President Obola will kill you. He doesn't care at all. The transformation of your country into his leftist nightmare is all that matters.

Lady Liberty is about to bleed out. And if it's like the newly infected nurse, through the eyes, mouth and anus.

    Enjoy!

This was not the first ebola patient in the US. The others facilities had advanced notice of the person's status and had time to prepare. There was indication in today's presser that the infected staff member likely did not follow protocols but did not know exactly when they would have been exposed as they had extensive patient contact. It is taking the gear off that puts people at the highest risk.

Exactly WTF would you expect this congenitally lying administration to say? There is no longer a base line from which one can assume any fact is true.

Obola lies. If you like your contagion, you can keep you contagion.

Okay, well the infected Nurse used protection so as to not get infected while treating the patient. She got Ebola anyway. Just like that Nurse in Spain.

Now, maybe, the entire treatment staff may come down with Ebola. We'll have to wait and see, but we seem to be having bad luck with Ebola so far. Everything is going wrong.

Not to mention the federal gov't has lied to us about it.....over and over again:

"Obama visited CDC headquarters in Atlanta on Sept. 16 for briefings on the Ebola outbreak.

“Our experts here at the CDC and across our government agree that the chances of an Ebola outbreak here in the United States are extremely low. We’ve been taking the necessary precautions, including working with countries in West Africa to increase screening at airports so that someone with the virus doesn’t get on a plane for the United States,” the president said.....on Sept 16th, just before the first case arrived by airplane from Liberia.

“Dr. Frieden noted that the CDC had been prepared for an Ebola case in the United States, and that we have the infrastructure in place to respond safely and effectively.”

    Director Frieden:
“In the unlikely event that someone with Ebola does reach our shores,” he said, “we’ve taken new measures so that we’re prepared here at home. We’re working to help flight crews identify people who are sick and more labs across our country now have the capacity to quickly test for the virus. We’re working with hospitals to make sure that they are prepared and to ensure that our doctors, our nurses and our medical staff are trained, are ready, and are able to deal with a possible case safely.”

Even President Jimmy Carter said this country was late in preparing for an Ebola outbreak.

“Everybody knows now that the United States and the international community got started too late …later than they should have,” Carter told CBS 11 News in an exclusive interview. …

No one can possibly have faith in this administration because they have already LIED to us.

    - - - Updated - - -

Yep, so much for the CDC's protocol being so great.....and the "unlikely event" it will spread as they told us. Believe NOTHING this administration tells us.

In other words.....the CDC head and Obama lied to us about having the proper protocols in place and everything was hunky-dory.

What's the CDC to say, that they don't have a handle on Ebola here and that it's everyone for themselves? Talk about shutting the country down, wow....

Even the hard Obola supporting useful idiots avoid this topic. They know he's willing to kill THEM.

'By any means necessary' might just be a death sentence. You voted for uncontrolled borders? DIE!

What is the population of Dallas Tx?

What do you think it will be in a month?
