    The standard homophobe platitude is "I don't have a problem with gay people if it's private, just don't shove it in my face". The thing is, that's full of (*)(*)(*)(*). Some things they deem acceptable for straight people are arbitrarily unacceptable for queer people. Simple innocent gestures of affection. A straight man can keep a picture of his wife on his desk and mention his plans with her in casual conversation, but should the same man be gay and do the same things with a husband, some people see it fit to get up in arms about how he's being "in your face" about his sexual orientation.

    If you want us to stop making a big deal out of being queer, you need to let us. Bigots have made society repressed to the extent where even saying "Yes" to the question "Are you gay?" is a revolutionary act. You don't deserve to complain that someone is trying harder when you're the one who made it necessary to try that hard.

    A lot of things humans do or are, are not normal. We call many of them extraordinary. I'd include the plays of Shakespeare, the paintings of Picasso, the ideas of Einstein and the Wright brothers, and the perfomances of Maria Callas, Mohammad Ali, Marlon Brando, Robert Federer, Bobby Fischer and Baryshnikov as well as the people themselves. Nothing matters less to me than anyone's determination of what is normal and what is not normal in human endeavors, experiences, or interests. Not relevant to the OP.

    its only an odd post if you misread it. or do not read it thoroughly for comprehension. Just try again and concentrate on that word you chose 'normal' it all flows from that.

    Saying something and ending it with "End of story" is not an argument and is pretty much the least persuasive thing possible.

    You've failed to add to the discussion in this thread. You've failed to make an intelligent and reasonable argument. You've simply stated an opinion and asserted it to be an undeniable fact without bothering to support it.

    You're a detriment to discussions.

    When I was 19 or so, I worked on a construction site. The guys gossiped a lot about who they thought were gay. The people who are telling gay people to stay in the closet are the same people bringing them out of the closet. Just ignore them and do your own thing.

    You're pretending that we've never heard the simplistic "homosexuality is not normal" argument before. Just because something is scary doesn't make it bad.

    I'm sorry if it offends....but the truth of matter large segment of our society homosexuality is not normal. You're demanding people to understand something that they cannot understand.

    there is no purpose in the natural word for homosexuality it does nothing for any species as a matter of fact it can be determent to any species if in to great of a number

    I had a previous job where my Manager had a picture of him and his male partner (holding hands on the beach). It was accepted... so please don't paint that broad brush! ....If anyone had any issues with it then they kept their thoughts private.

    Please don't try to deflect, here. I'm asking you; why does it matter to you that homosexuality is not the norm?
