How will every gun existing in the ghetto be linked with its owner?

Why should the law abiding be subjected to this when the feral criminality are not?

When they show up three times to vote for the democrats like all blacks folks do then you could catch em in a snare. I thought you folks were all guns don't kill people, people do. Catch your killer and it wouldn't really matter what became of his guns now would it?

I think most Americans would support taking guns away from or making it illegal for the most violent group in America(young black males)to own guns. This is just common sense....no reason whatsoever to deny honest law abiding citizens to own weapons to defend their family...and this constitutional right is more valid today than ever before because of the horrific level of crime aka...home invasions etc.

However we must also understand that criminals, violent people, convicted felons etc. are found with weapons on a daily basis....thus enacting any law to prevent anyone from getting a gun is difficult to enforce to say the least.

So are we barking up the wrong tree aka..............trying to prevent violence by outlawing weapons? I think so....as said before what we need to address is what causes people to turn violent aka...what are the causes of violence? Who is it that is most likely to be violent? What does science have to offer to be able to predict who may become violent? And above all how to prevent people from becoming violent....this should begin in the schools...children with a propensity for violence should be identified and placed in special programs to attempt to change their violent natures.

A society that allows Children to watch the most horrific violent videos, to play violent video games, allows Hollywood to glamorize violence, allows the growth of a violent thug culture in our inner cities...........should not be suprised that there is so much violence amongst our youth....and on top of that to come up with this simplistic idea ---'in order to prevent violence we simply have to outlaw guns' is so ridiculous that it has no merit whatsoever.

Yet, this is not to say we should not try and take away guns from certain groups of violent and dangerous people....or at least make it as difficult as possible for them to obtain weapons...and to send them away for a very long term....if they are found in possession of a weapon in the commission of a crime or actually at any other time.....in other words go after the criminals--not law abiding people.

Works good on my Galaxy phone! But ID's have worked just fine in my state for voting. Even when I took my blind mother to vote and she had her state issued ID.

The fingerprint could be used for people who have no current ID. Not saying they shouldn't have one, but for instance, our state ID's are printed up wherever and mailed to us, if you are lucky, within two weeks. If you are unlucky, as some people are, the post office sends them back and then you have to wait for a postcard to come to give you a number to call to claim your ID, in which case they may send it through the mail again or may have to wait for them to send it to the DMV to be picked up. If you fell in that situation, you could still scan your print and not need to cast a provisional ballot. Those things should be done away with ASAP.

    Ah, typical.

    Just so typical.

You were on a half-way legitimate point.

Then I challenged you on it and you fell apart.

Do you know why you did that?

I doubt it, but good news because I do and I'm going to tell you.

The reason you had to go from civil discussion to outright trolling was because your liberal overlords never gave you the answer to my question.

Not once has any liberal ever given an indication how illegal gun owners, ya know the criminals, will be impacted by gun control laws.

And because you lacked instructions on how to answer you fell back on the typical liberal stance: imply racism.

Another possible way to eliminate a lot of gun problems would be to imbed a chip in all weapons so they can be tracked...that would be easy to do...would any criminal or felon want to keep something that would reveal their location?

The criminals would disable the chip while the good people would have their locations tracked by the government....great.

I have spoken to this issue multiple times. If you need to find a gotcha moment in a pithy wisecrack go ahead and feel yourself the victor. In the meantime, one vote on the SCOTUS away from ending the nonsense.

    Awww, and now you're offended.

I guess next time don't invoke race trolling when a question asked of your commanded position cannot be responded to.

One should have to have an ID to buy a gun (seems like a duh) and vote imo.

Just as it should be a requirement to have even a smidgen of intelligence in order to make comments in a public Internet forum.

Actually it would make a huge difference in America since most criminals get their guns from legal gun owners - yes that is right - from LEGAL sources

What? Shouldn't everyone be able to own a gun?

I find it scary that she ran away but was already mortally wounded. He shot her a few times, and then she ran away and evidently died.

If you choke the access to illegal firearms it will, eventually I grant given the bloody huge stockpile in America, make them less available to the criminal element. Apparently over here semi-automatics are so hard to get even for the hardened, habitual, part of organised crime criminals that they have to "rent" them from someone who owns one

Would I trust a fictional character from a Stephen King book who chases his wife and kid with an ax? With a gun ? What do you think?

You must have missed where the US Government sold several thousand semi-automatics to known criminals with gang and Mexican Cartel ties. So for this Government or any subsequent that wants to limit guns to legal owners is just ludicrous. The Government created a need for self defense in its attempted power grab by human rights theft. They want the people defenseless and in fear. So they will submit to trading freedoms for a sense of security. No thanks I preferred an armed Public.

I have a prediction; If the Public becomes a majority of open-carry 24-7 ,We would also have become a polite society again.

Oh come on.....a gun gives one person multiple chances to kill in a variety of scenarios. Cars can't fit into movie theaters, or drive through school buildings, etc. I could go on, but you see what I mean.

I'm not following your reasoning. You're saying that having the same requirements for firearms that currently exist for automobiles would have prevented that guy in NYC from shooting a security guard?

That's easy to examine. Let's assume that every Buick in America came with a free revolver. How would the "bureaucratic registration and tracking" that you spoke of associated with automobiles have prevented this man from obtaining his Buick and revolver? Now that I think about it, doing what you propose would probably make it easier to buy a firearm in nearly every scenario. Do you have to submit to a federal background check when buying a Buick from a car dealer? Is it illegal to buy a Buick from an individual in a state other than the one in which you reside? Are felons allowed to buy Buicks?
