No, he is no good because he is not representative of the American people.

Ted Cruz is a fiscal conservative. He also wants to return the Constitution and the Government to "We the People". Liberals can't stand the thought of people having Liberty, Freedom, and reducing the impact the Federal Government has on our lives.

They must try to destroy him so that the public does not realize the truth he delivers.

"Sure we might be backstabbing, slimy, unethical louts who would sell our mother a Pinto if it would get us enough commission to buy a bottle of Jim Beam. But comparing us to Ted Cruz? That seems a little harsh." -used car salesmen everywhere

The thread title is quite true. Ted Cruz is on his way to political obscurity

You make the claim that he's working. List his accomplishments.

Too bad you swallowed the red pill or whatever it was. Fact of the matter is that the United States and it's citizens are better off with an Obamacare style legislation. While occasionally paying lip service to the crazies their party depends on the adults in the GOP sometimes have to do what is right.

Obamacare is a piece of crap. Hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars wasted. Millions of citizens lost their doctor and insurance rates skyrocketed.

Nobody had to destroy Ted Cruz. He has proved quite capable of doing it all on his own.

And what is stopping Ted from turning around and becoming an establishment politician?

    - - - Updated - - -

His plan is probably a hell a lot better then what is going on now.

You mean the GOP's fabricated crises and credit ruining government shutdowns, or threats of a shutdown in efforts to force a halfa$$ed backwards social agenda on everyone else. Oh wait that is what Cruz is all about.

How much money was spend on shovel ready jobs? Cash for Clunkers?
How much have we spend on welfare in the last 10 years? How much have we spend in the last 50 years? I'll give you a hint, its more then we have spend on wars since 1776. This is no fiscal policy right now. The one policy right now is spend like there is no tomorrow.

For starters, Ted Cruz is not a Republican, or even a Libertarian. His political stance is more alaigned with the Constitution Party or the American Independence Party. That being said, with internet and talk radio, he will not go into obscurity. He will continued to be voted on because he has that "R" behind his name and not the "D." Even Democrats in Texas are way more conservative than Democrats in the Midwest or in the Northeast. Other than that, he would do well to start his own reality TV show.

He is not supposed to be a representative of the American people. He is supposed to be a representative for Texans.

You are living in a fantasy land. OUR CURRENT economic policy will absolutely lead to national financial ruin. We are going to be over $20 TRILLION in National Debt destroying our children's future because Liberals want tons of "Free stuff" and NeoCon's (Establishment Republicans) want to spend foolishly on defense. Both want to proceed with Crony Capitalism. The ONLY party in our country at this time with a fiscally responsible platform is the TEA Party. But, Liberals refuse to engage in the math so they can continue to buy votes.

Is that why the Tea Party is only attractive to a small percentage of Republicans? Is that also why instead of actually starting their own Party the TP'ers hide under the moniker of Republican, don't you think you could win without the GOP umbrella, does not sound like even Conservatives support the TP?
