Do you know what common ground is? It refers to the idea that we will accept at least some type of "common ground" when it comes to discussions. They're assumptions of communication we make in order to have conversations and convey ideas. Something like language usage can be common ground. While not the best example in a forum whose official language is English, the fact that you and I assumed English would be a good language to use is common ground.

But common ground is an assumption. So what happens when people start questioning common ground? Unless the assumption has some logic behind it, it is a false assumption. What you call ignoring, I call questioning. I am questioning why there is a need for sexual discrimination. If you can not come with a reason, then you are clinging to a false belief. So start examining why you believe what you do, otherwise watch as the fallacies multiply.

In fact boys are likelier to get hurt as some have been hit in the groin during field hockey games. One boy was struck in the head during one such game and woke up hours later in a hospital.

It's such an obvious consequence that I find it difficult to see how it could possibly have been unintended. Only the totally nonthinking could not have anticipated this.

My DD competed in soccer on boys' teams through Middle School after the all-female teams she joined in grade school and early middle school gradually lost membership and finally caved. She considered continuing in High School, but by then most of her male counterparts were already increasing in size, weight, and strength at a much faster rate than she was. She concluded that if she continued in soccer she was just asking for serious injury.

Even with later hormone treatment, a male will still have the bone growth and size of a male.

All of that said, there should probably be differing weight and size classes for more sports, as there are in such things as boxing. IMO it is only the excessive focus on competition and resource limitations (coaches; fields) that make us forget this possibility.

 

That means nothing really, come to majority republican Tennessee but in memphis it is democrat majority.

Or go to Georgia , but they have an issue with the democrats in Atlanta.

Everywhere has their liberal areas just like in liberal states you have conservative areas.
