Here's a good question. The Paris attacks had a cell attack. Why was this one a lone wolf? Why did the response take so long, after it was public knowledge that he pledged allegiance to ISIS?

Furthermore what was the spark? Was it bigotry or Islam? Islamic radicalization was the vehicle, not the source of the action. That's a big difference, especially in this conversation.

    - - - Updated - - -

    Yeah, that's called critical thinking.

I asked you to look at the reality you have been living in, but not at fair tales.
Just open your eyes and look around if you can.
you may start from reading my post but not just taking a bite out of it.

Joan of Arc was set on fire because she heard voices that she thought were coming from god. Those voices told her to dress like a man by donning armor.

You do know that some Muslim ME countries will hang gays when they're caught?

What horrific atrocity does a Christian faith commit against gays?

"The report indicates that 84 of these cases were loss of property and employment and other forms of intimidation. Forty-eight of the 264 cases of anti-LGBT persecution involved violence, which included “torture by the state.”"

You see you cannot even read my post. Your eyes are shut and ears are plugged.
Did I ask you to look at the reality but not fair tales?

You do not want to know how the LBGT have been treated in atheistic countries.
    Do you see Xns celebrating?
    Do you see ISIS celebrating?
    Yet LBGT is fighting Xns.
Is it a good history LBGT has been having?

I did, hence why I asked you to explain Joan of Arc.

You said the best history, I challenged by citing something bad. Now you have to cite something all of these communities did that was worse in order to prove your claim.

You have been trying to divert attention from the meaning of my post to a fair tale.
Citing a fair tale related to 500 years old event while refusing to look at the present reality is not citing anything related to the present reality.
Many bad things happened and many of them happened to Xns, especially in atheistic countries. Hitler was a pederast and was brought to power
by brown shirts headed by a pederast. Many bad things in history happened to good people.

Do you know how the LBGT have been treated in atheistic countries?

You do not see Xn celebrating.
    You see ISIS celebrating.
    Yet LBGT is fighting Xns.
Is it a good history LBGT has been having?
This is what has been going now right in front of your eyes. It is the reality you refuse to address.

She's actually a Christian Saint. Just thought you should know.

You said Christianity has the best history with the LGBT community. Never specified the time frame.

Yes indeed, but not your claim now is it?

I'm more interested in your definition of "Atheistic" countries right now then anything else.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick received swift backlash for tweeting a picture with a Bible verse hours after the carnage at the gay nightclub that suggested the victims got what they deserved.
“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows,” Patrick tweeted, citing Galatians 6:7.

    Indeed, they are celebrating.

In recent years yes it has been.

yeah me and reality don't see eye to eye on a lot of things, namely Reality's existence. Not too sure what is or is not real.

Several hours later, we know he called 911 claiming he did it for ISIS, ISIS has publicly taken responsibility, his friend Moner Mohammad Abu-Salha traveled from Florida to Syria and blew himself up in a suicide attack in 2014, he was questioned by the FBI 3 times since 2014 over terrorist related comments and contacts.

Don't forget he shouted "Allahu Akbar" as he was killing people.

    Its clearly Islamic jihadi terrorism.

But I'm sure the progs will try to spin it as a gun control issue, or that Trumps "islamophobic" comments pushed the shooter over the edge.

Cool! That was really just something that I wanted to start a conversation on while we waited for Obama to speak.

Why did it "take so long"? Chalk up another "win" for Homeland Security and the massive surveillance state. The police state claims it has to monitor everything everyone does in order to detect terrorists and "keep us safe", but they miss the terrorists while they are searching granny and molesting children at the airport and too busy harassing conservatives.

GAY GUN-RIGHTS GROUP THE PINK PISTOLS, a comment on the Orlando shooting:

“The Pink Pistols gives condolences to all family and friends of those killed and injured at Pulse,” began Patton. “This is exactly the kind of heinous act that justifies our existence. At such a time of tragedy, let us not reach for the low-hanging fruit of blaming the killer’s guns. Let us stay focused on the fact that someone hated gay people so much they were ready to kill or injure so many. A human being did this. The human being’s tools are unimportant when compared to the bleakness of that person’s soul. I say again, GUNS did not do this. A human being did this, a dead human being. Our job now is not to demonize the man’s tools, but to condemn his acts and work to prevent such acts in the future.”

That's a good question to ask. Why was it that Homeland Security failed?

Really? Well, then you need to get out more.

Common sense tells the rest of us that having unsecured borders, not knowing who's coming in, if they have a criminal history or not, if they have a communicable disease or not .....is stupid.

Probably but not today. Looks likes it's going to rain here.

Indeed, but doesn't do anything to prove your claim that just anybody can get across the border.

Its associated with hating of gays. And so many, mostly righties, ignore that little fact.

    - - - Updated - - -

What are Trumps words on the tragedy?
    Has he made a statement?

Why is bigot and enter any other word mutually exclusive?
Should not all bigotry be ended? No matter what other group one belongs to?
Don't you think bigotry was a bigger motive in this situation? Else, any nightclub in the country would've been attacked. Not one that the shooter had to drive 1.5 hours to get to.

    - - - Updated - - -

Of course it was a hate crime. Else no need to target a gay bar 1.5 hours from his home.

    - - - Updated - - -

I will agree with you, but let's not just stop muslims. Lets stop every form of bigotry. Agreed.

Because the freedoms we have in this country are at odds with the type of control it would require to snuff out.

Islamic terrorist do hate gays, they also hate Americans & Christians. They hate everything about you/us and want to kill us. Anyone that goes against their religion deserves to die. Their goal is to kill as many at one time as possible which is why a bomb is often used also. He obviously knew of this nightclub and knew it would be packed with people on a Saturday night. Easy target.

To call it a hate crime is not incorrect, but if they had targeted a Christian religious event, I don't think you'd be so quick to label it a hate crime even though you'd know the victims were targeted for their religion. It's terrorism and it will happen again. That's a given.

Bigotry has a motivation. I don't know that you can stop it without killing the root. So we are kind of stuck in a catch 22 at the moment any way. Christianity went though a reform period, that killed a lot of it. Islam hasn't gotten there yet.

Isn't that the baffling part? The world does not seem to be uniting together to stop ISIS. Is there something to this that we are not being told about?
