Well obviously the slower pace of things, more diversity, but a serious lack of innovation. Also socially I can get along with more strangers here than I can in Los Angeles. Surprisingly more people get along here than in the west coast. Also west coast is extremely segregated in comparison.

I mentioned lack of innovation because there really is not too much spectacular down here, and I wish I could implement some ideas for this city that would do great things for tourism, entertainment and the overal social aspect. The south has a ton of potential, they just don't capitalize on it. It is quite behind on stuff like that.

I don't find the racial tension down here so bad, trust me when I say it's worse in Los Angeles. Not saying t does not exist but being in the thick of it I don't see a whole lot either way. The only time I really see a lot of racial tension is during election time, because the politicians use that as heir main platform and gets everyone in a frenzy.

But over the years I have noticed under democrat rule this place keeps getting worse economically, crime is a huge issue and education has been thrown down the drain. This is a short time from being Detroit.

Southerners are pretty easy to get along with.
I didn't understand or appreciate southern hospitality until I spent considerable time outside the southeast. We converse with strangers with ease...that isn't common outside the south. Things are definitely a little more laid back and leisurely.
I love Chattanooga, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, the Smokies...
What's holding you back if you have fantastic ideas? If there are untapped resources and possibility then there is big opportunity, huh?
I live southside Atlanta and the metro area is booming. Fertile soil for innovation.

In the south we are typically very polite. Whatever racial tension there is, isn't spoken out loud. Educated, professional blacks and whites wouldn't voice racially discriminatory rhetoric in the work place or even social peer groups. It's not kosher.
What group(s) of voters are voicing concerns about crime and education? What do they want?

Yeah people are more relaxed overall down south , and less materialistic and don't judge all too often.

But as far as getting any ideas through, you gotta be one of the good old boy democrats in this city and make sure your main focus is how to lie their pockets. If they don't hear how much they will get in kickbacks then they don't give a damn about ideas.

If she were truly sorry she would walk through South Chicago at night with that sign.

    She walks alone.

What she is doing that will do her a lot of good is walking. She can shed weight and if she keeps walking the weight will stay gone.

LOL! imo it was more impressive than Graceland. I think Memphis is known for its blues history also.

If she has been walking for 3 days...that's a problem.
I thought she was waving a sign for an afternoon.

I'd never heard of it. I've also never been to Memphis. Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Chattanooga are really the only Tennessee destinations I've seen. I've stayed in a train car at the Choo Choo...but I prefer staying closer to the city so you can walk to the Aquarium, Imax, the river, love the walking bridge over it and the glass enclosed merry go round.
    You ever get to Atlanta?

I've seen pictures of Graceland...haha... It's so tacky...like a trailer park boy made the big time. But all 70's decor was pretty atrocious.
Early Elvis had substantially better style than 70's bedazzled Elvis.

Stone Mountain's laser show plays Dixie by Elvis every year and has since the first time I saw it over 30 years ago. That song still brings me to tears. I love it...like Ray Charles singing Georgia... Love those songs.
