Anyone who does not already know the answer to this question is a complete idiot. First off, Trump is not mentally instable. You do not get to where he is by being mentally unstable. On occasion he makes stupid statements, but that is because he is not a professional politician who is skilled in the art of lying to the people. He speaks his mind which can be extremely dangerous for someone in a political race.

The reason 1/2 the people give or take 5% will vote for Trump is the nature of the race. This is not a race between the GOP and the DNC, it is a race between the American people and the Corrupt Establishment.

The People may not be able to articulate their reasoning for backing Trump, but they know in their hearts that the system is corrupt and voting for another corrupt politician who is owned by the establishment will only get the tree stump shoved higher up their a*sses.

The establishment is pulling out all the stops to try to deceive the American People, and the People need to understand that they will go to any means to defeat Trump. Because they are so afraid of him, we need to put him in office, we need to tell the establishment to f*ck off and do what ever we can to take the ba****** down..... Unfortunately I have my doubts whether we will, as though because as Clint Eastwood so eloquently said, we are a nation of p*ssies.

Meanwhile obama paid a 400 million dollar ransom in untraceable money to the greatest sponsor of terrorism on the planet and you guys actually believe Trump is the one off the rails. The sheer stupidity of the left would be funny except their stupidity is affecting us and the rest of the planet. Your ideology is the greatest scourge the United States has ever seen.

Battle, lets be honest, you and I both know that Trump is a psycho. It has been stated by quite a few professionals that he is not mentally fit to lead the country; indeed almost everyday he makes statements that even his own party shake their heads at. There are many people who are literally terrified at the thought of Trump having access to our nuclear weapons and the codes.

There are people who support Trump and say "maybe" he'll do alright; it's "maybe" part that scares a lot of people; what if he doesn't do alright? Then what? How much damage will he do to the country before be removed from office?? You have to look at the overall picture.

One can only hope that Trump drops out of the race and the republicans find a candidate among the other 16 candidates that threw their hats in the ring for President and put them up instead.

Either way, the damage to the republican party is severe and long term in my opinion.

I'm not writing off Trump. Its way too early for that, although I think his chances are slim. Especially looking at the polls from the states that make up the electoral college. But I think when you refer to "the People." The people make up a whole lot more than the 40% of the Republican base of 28% of the electorate who voted for Trump in the GOP primaries.

I think in the beginning the people as a whole didn't want either Bush or Clinton as a couple of Rasmussen polls showed. I also think the majority still does not want Clinton, but more at the moment want her than Trump as the 43-37 RCP average shows.

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...rump_vs_clinton_vs_johnson_vs_stein-5952.html

When I follow the polls, it isn't the horse race per se that interests me. I like to see the breakdown of the independent vote. What is interesting there is for the first time in a long time, over this last week Clinton has taken the lead with independents. Averaging out the independent vote as RCP does, it comes out 35% Clinton, 33% Trump, 17% Johnson, 10% Stein. Looking at the favorable/unfavorable ratings among independents only, Clinton is at 37% favorable 60% unfavorable. No doubt indies do not like her. Trump though is at 31% favorable, 62% unfavorable, indies like him a bit less than Clinton today and hence the two point difference in the horse race numbers among indies.

What I am getting at is folks usually do not vote for someone they dislike. You see that in the 27% of independents willing to vote for a third party candidate. Keep in mind, no Libertarian candidate has ever received as much as one percent of the total vote on election day in that Party's history. This shows the total dissatisfaction with the choices the two major parties have given us.

Now Trump needs to, Clinton too I suppose, either one needs to convince those third party voting independents that they should vote for them instead of a third party candidate. For Trump he needs to stay on message, he needs to start acting like he is running for president instead of a reality TV host. He needs to stop and stay away from unnecessary feuds like with Cruz, Kasich, Rubio, the Bushes, Kahn and get off this rigged election bit. Trump should be saying he has the vision and ideas to lurch this country forward, that he is willing to debate anyone at anytime and concentrate on getting his message out. Clinton has tons of baggage and isn't trusted, take advantage of that. Stop making war among Republicans, start making war on her and leave the fans, (Kahn) alone.

From what I hear, Trump has some real good political advisors around him. He needs to start listening to them or he will find himself so far behind that his election will turn into an LBJ vs. Goldwater landslide.

The RNC is against Trump, and that is good reason to vote for him.
The DNC is against Trump and that is good reason to vote for him.
The Military Industrial Establishment is against Trump and that is good reason to vote for him.
Wall St. is against Trump and that is good reason to vote for him.
The Media is against Trump and that is good reason to vote for him.
The Banks are against Trump and that is good reason to vote for him
In fact the entire corrupt establishment that has been sticking it to the people for 50 years is against him and that is all the reason I need to vote for him. To tell the corrupt establishment to go straight to hell.

Exactly dog, people who don't realize this need to catch up.

This is not a race between the GOP and the DNC, it is a race between the American people and the Corrupt Establishment.

If all one has is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. A hammer or a cannon is not always the right tool for the job but they seem to be the only tools Trump has.

    Who's controlling who?

When liberals wanted Obama in office Chris Matthews of MSNBC said this about Hillary...
"the reason she’s a candidate for President, is that her husband messed around. She didn’t win it on her merit"

Before this election Chris Matthews of MSNBC said this to Hillary....
Madam Secretary, all three of us have brilliant ideas. We know how to do this, we’ll get you in there."

"we’ll get you in there" ... Translation.....they know how to manipulate you.

    Stop being so easy!

Because your version of whackjob is another persons version of acceptable.

Your upper class urban media liberals are not who all Americans consider good measures of worth. The fact that most upper class city media types hate Trump helps him because most Americans hate those people with a dedicated vitriol. Something the left and rich republicans have never fully grasped.

At an outing we were seated with a group of strangers who were liberals. They're talk very condescending toward "the little guy" as if they couldn't survive without them while patting themselves on the back. On the second night we opted out of that seating arrangement. We got tired of listening to them trying to impress everyone else. You see, with these types you can't get into the group unless you can impress them everyone else is going to die without them.

Are you stupid? I said the establishment runs the media. Are the liberals the establishment? Or are you purposely trying to change the direction of discussion to manipulate the other posters?

Vegas doesn't realized he is the most powerless of everyone and that is why the left's rhetoric is music to his ears. He thinks the left is going to save him.

Actually, Johnson and Stein take about 4% each from Hillary and Donald. They're fairly evenly impacted by the small parties.
