I feel bad for people with mental disabilities, but most of all I feel bad for their existence, and how that impacts society too.

I think it would be best to try, and prevent such things from happening in the first place.

I think it's very unfair for people with mental disabilities to have kids.

Why?

1.) It's unfair to the kids who can't have a normal functioning parent, and who can't properly provide for them.

2.) It's unfair to the kids if they get that disability passed down to them.

So, absolutely rationalization tells me the situation isn't right.

 

What if it was you who was deemed to be mentally disabled? Hatred and people who can't get along with others may be a good reason to "euthanize" them. How about if we just euthanize anyone who has a flaw? Lol.

As for the first, not in the beginning. It's not like anyone who ever has a problem is immediately placed on birth control. People would have opportunities to improve themselves before birth control was used, and even then it would only be a requirement until they got themselves together. After childbearing age, they would still be taken care of.

However, if they have even one kid they can't take care of, they go on birth control until they are self-reliant again.

I'm not sure why this is so hard for people to understand. People should imagine their own flaws, that they have no control over, amplified by a hundred, and then ask if it's fair to bring people into the world like this.

Euthanize? No one wants to euthanize anybody.

I have looked at my own flaws, and this is actually the foundation of my belief system. Knowing my own flaws, especially the ones I can't control, has done much to inform my thinking on eugenics.

I would have put both of my parents on birth control, and I currently do everything in my power NOT to get anyone pregnant because I can't take care of them.

Despite my exceptional intelligence, my mood instability is not something I'd pass on to someone else, unless I can be very careful about the kind of girl I meet. She'd have to be VERY well-balanced to mitigate my own deficiencies.

 

Freedom can be pretty lousy too, remember slave masters had the freedom to enslave Black people, and bring them here.

Yes, that is a terrible thing, but more related to the era and the times. Until relatively recently, slavery was considered an acceptable practice because certain people were considered NOT EQUAL,and other people considered themselves better or above them and likened them to animals or felt that they were perhaps too "stupid".
