I know women have always suffered thins kind of abuse in big crowds but they usually don’t bother reporting it because they think it won’t be taken serious assuming they’re believed at all. I can’t help wondering if the change here is less an increase in assaults but more an increase in willingness of authorities to do (or appear to be doing) something about them and women to actually report them.
