That's because you are a rational person. The issue is that by saying that the kids can stay here it ultimately means that the parents won't get deported because the kids would be left without families. The kids gotta go, one way or the other.

If a child was brought here at 1 year old and he's now 30 years old he has had a lifetime to become a citizen. So if he isn't a citizen by now put his behind on the bus across the border.

We have it the other way around here in the madhouse known as the UK: we've taken in 300 child migrants (some as old as 19  and our liberals are bellyaching that the Home secretary should have taken 3000 :wall: ), so what will happen is this . . . in a few weeks time their 'parents' will be demanding to come into the UK to see if their children are here among them. Honestly you couldn't make up this (*)(*)(*)(*)!

My opinion of UK and European politicians is unprintable. A single amoeba has more brains than all of them combined.

I would agree there. But you can be documented but not a citizen and everything would be fine. my wife has a 30ish yrs old "documented" co worker that just started the citizenship process in 2016, she's been here since she was 2 yrs old but has always had whatever was necessary to be legal.

If you are 30, undocumented, and haven't taken any steps forward at this point, its a good guess that you simply don't care, so why should the US?

So what happens to the kids of American parents that break the law and go to jail?

Oh, I got that, and I say that 11 million illegals have already entered the US leaving behind the "only country they know" to try and make a life in a "country they no nothing about". Simply reversing the process is not a "hardship".

I'd be more incined to agree if not for the fact 10-15K new ICE officers need to be hired, and trained, to collect the illegals that sanctuaries "catch and release".

He needs to hold something back for mid-terms... :)

DACA folks are in a database, so a big easy deportation push right before the elections could make a big difference...

Yeah if the decision is made to go get them, they'll be the easiest to find.

DACA should be challenged anyway, its completely unconstitutional. I have no doubt that the Dreamers are going to be targeted eventually, but now is entirely too soon, there are plenty of criminals to round up at the moment...

If I was an illegal I'd cash my chips in and go home.Obama's free ride is over. I wouldn't want to have to leave unexpectedly with only the clothes on my back and my dirty undies. Everything I worked for would evaporate

Thanks again Prez Trump...ten Obamas could not do better!

Should we not throw mothers and or fathers in jail after being convicted of a crime because doing so wouldn't be fair to their kids that didn't commit any crime?

I can get on board with this with a caveat they are not allowed to sponsor others into the country.

What do your polls indicate about policy which the US gov should implement with regard to otherwise law abiding aliens who are here illegally.

The trouble with the "Dreamers" is that they then are 'leveraged' to legalize the parents who brought them in illegally. We need an immigration policy as unconscionable as the mother who endangers her child to illicitly cross the border, so we can deport her and keep her child.

Good video, but I've already stated in this thread, grant accelerated citizenship to families, deport criminals, enforce E-verify and build that damn wall!

We simply cannot sustain such a program that removes 10s of millions from our population. It would be most disastrous to our economy.
