"In the course of the campaign..........."
"In the course of your job as senator........"

Franken thought he was smart but asked the wrong question. To bad, so sad. His direct examination of the witness failed

Sessions did not speak to Russians about anything to do with the Trump campaign. I believe Sessions before I believe Nancy Pelosi. You know as well as I do this is bogus.

There's no way the left wouldn't have acted any differently, but yes, he'd be better off telling the truth.

Over the fiction of (*)(*)(*)(*)-Gate and Democrats neo-McCarthyism that treats the mere meeting with the Russian Ambassador as a treasonous event requiring resignation? The Crazed Hillary Dead-Enders do realize that meetings and discussions is exactly WHY we have ambassadors here? Do crazed Democrats want us to shut down diplomatic relations with the only other global nuclear Super-Power?

Rhetorical questions, the Dead-Enders who want to re-litigate the last election have thought through none of this, they are in the manic fractiousness of an OCD patient be stimulated by a misplaced gerbil.

The Obama administration sought, and eventually obtained, authorization to eavesdrop on the Trump campaign; continued monitoring the Trump team even when no evidence of wrongdoing was found; then relaxed the NSA rules to allow evidence to be shared widely within the government, virtually ensuring that the information, including the conversations of private citizens, would be leaked to the media. This is a “silent coup” by the Obama administration and it MUST be investigated.

Stupid Republicans in Congress are focusing their attention on Trump and Attorney General Sessions rather than Obama.

Hell No Sessions Won't Resign. He needs To Empanel A Grand Jury To Get To The Bottom Of These Post-Presidency Operations By Obama Administration Officials.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-govern...d Attorney General Sessions rather than Obama.

God help Obama if he is conspiring to release classified information as a private citizen.

Left wing hysteria has no bounds. The current very organized attacks on the Trump presidency suggests sedition. Sessions is guilty of being in the lying left wing spotlight.

More likely the rumours circulating several days that Kelly Conway was the source of the leaks given how quiet she has gone since then

What would you know about the American people? You're a temper tantrum throwing cry baby. Claire McCaskill even had to lie about her interaction with the Russian Diplomats to make it look like Sessions had no reason to be in the same room as the Russian Diplomats.

Who was Holder caring about when he lied to Congress about the Fast & Furious plot to get Americans killed buy gun violence? He later admitted lying and didn't step down.

How about when he lied to a Judge so he could spy on Rosen? How about the AP?

Holder: I think that -- I think about the subpoena to the Fox reporter, Rosen. I think that I could have been a little more careful in looking at the language that was contained in the filing that we made with the court. He was labeled as a -- as a co-conspirator. I mean, you had to do that as a result of the statute, but there are ways in which I think that could have been done differently, done better. And that's one of the reasons why I thought the criticism that we received because of that -- and the AP matter as well -- was something that we had to act upon and why we put in place this review of our -- the way in which we interact with the media.

Except, as Julian Sanchez points out, that's completely bogus. Holder claiming they had to do that because of the statute is flat out opposites-ville. They had to do that because the statute doesn't allow them to spy on journalists. The law was designed to stop the DOJ from spying on journalists, and so the only way to break that was to lie to the court. The law in question -- 18 USC 793 is designed to only apply to the people actually committing the crime of leaking defense information -- and not to reporters.

Sessions was a great guy until he was nominated to be Trump's AG. Just like Trump, a Democrat before he was a Republican then Republican candidate.

Now this is just a temper tantrum ,,, a never ending temper tantrum orchestrated by the worst President in history and funded by the Hitler Youth veteran and convicted felon, George Soros.

Holder claiming that the statute effectively "forced" him into declaring Rosen a co-conspirator is ridiculous. The statute compels him not to seize Rosen's records. Holder is admitting that the DOJ lied to the court here and trying to blame the statute for that lie. That's astounding.

While I think it is ridiculous to suggest that the Russians "hacked" our elections, I do not think it was politically prudent for the Trump campaign to meet with Moscow officials prior to the election. It looks bad.

I'm a martian and I think, given the line of questions he was being hammered with by Franken, he answered accurately. The line of questions was about the dossier. At the time of the meetings, he was a member of the Armed Services Committee, doing the work of the committee. Claire McCaskill, in attempting to besmirch Sessions impeccable reputation, claimed she never met with the Russians in the course of her committee work. That statement clearly turned out to be a lie. She met with the Russians twice.

They all do it. We know Hillary is cozy with Saudi Arabia. We also know the UAE are the ones pushing the Russian narrative. The issue here is the left is throwing the right under the bus all the while doing the exact same thing. It's time the Republicans understand they represent the right. It's time to stop being the left's (*)(*)(*)(*)(*).

For the good of the country, the left should sit down and shut up. I watched some congresswoman go through this crap and how Sessions would never has cause to contact foriegn goverment, sa she had been in similar positions and never did. Then they ran multiple tweets and messages where she talked about doing that with many.

If they couldn't find anything else to try and turn into an issue- and Trump or one of his key people came in with loose shoelace, that lace would become some kind of safety threat and the left would all go off on that tangent.

No administration (or member iof congress) has ever been perfect- those that pick and choose what to complain about so it can raise a stink-- Stink.

Roadblocks to progress need to be kicked to the curb, not pandered to.
There is a lot of work to be done that is vastly more important.

They will not. Their goal is that Obama retains power for the next 4 years ,,, by blocking Trump's nominations ,,, which means the idiots Obama appointed are running the country and undermining Trump with leaks. They will attack anyone who is confirmed and wait for the opportunity to get rid of Trump. Democrats are losers, but they have help from other people who know Trump can't be bought ,,, an establishment requirement for President. That's why they were so emotional about Hillary bungling the election. She was bought and paid for through the Clinton Crime Foundation.

Notice that the Clinton Crime Foundation closed down after she had nothing to sell.
