    Emphasis mine.

This is an inherently false statement, and I suspect that you know this.

Employers have a virtual plethora of ways to confirm one's right to work in this country.

The problem isn't employers following the law, it's the ones who don't and pay wages under the table, and who could care less if their employees are legal or not.

This has been true through administrations from the left and the right.

Then change the f**king law, or quit whining about it.

And, btw, the "Obama Phone" program was first implemented by none other than your patron saint Ronald Reagan.

I love those analog phones during the 1980's. I still have one as a backup for emergencies like when there's no electrical power or when there's an earthquake because cell phones don't work right after an earthquake.

What century are you living in?

It is far more likely that your "analog phone" won't work after an earthquake than a cell phone.

If you cannot provide any proof that something is, indeed, happening, chances are it is happening at a much lower rate (or not at all) than you are attempting to argue.

This is true whether we are discussing voter fraud or food stamp fraud. Much to the chagrin of tinfoil hat conspiracy theorists on the right.

The reason why cell phones don't work right after an earthquake is because you have hundreds of thousands calling someone and asking "Did you feel it" ? The airwaves become overloaded.

Most digital phones require AC electrical power.

My father hurt his back about 10-12 years ago. And he was laid up in the hospital. I can’t recall at the moment what happen, but I was there with him and there was man from Mexico in the room with him. Sometime in the afternoon this guy in a suit came in and told him that everything was taken care of and that he didn’t have to worry about paying the bill. We latter found out through one of the RNs that the guy was an illegal, and was stabbed by his wife when the girlfriend showed up at the house, and that the government had picked up his bill.

Point of the story being that illegals do receive gov’t assistance, they get food stamps, gov’t housing, and healthcare, the whole 9 yards at the expense of the American taxpayer.

Wrong. Cell phone outages after a disaster are tied to usage and overloading of the network because landline service has been disrupted.

Wow! One anecdotal story form an anonymous source on the internet proves that illegals can skate on medical bills because the government will pay for it.

I'm shocked to discover this. Shocked, I tell you!

If you don't think illegals get any type of assistance form the gov't then you're fool IMO.

And if you believe that they are all living high on the hog because of government handouts, you are an even bigger fool.

Didn't say they were living on the high life. They shouldn't been getting anything should they?

An absolute minimum of humanitarian assistance for very specific circumstances? Yeah, I can live with that.

But, I haven't yet sold my soul to the GOP.

So you're ok with taking care of illegals under "specific circumstances". Well at the some-time, American vets can't get seen by a PCP. Think about that for min.

No, just the root of the scam.

Birthright citizenship is what needs to end. We're saps to allow it. Few other countries do. It's not entirely clear i this can be changed through legislation but it's worth a shot after Gorsuch.

That's quite a leap there, sport.

Are we not a rich enough nation that we can fulfill our obligations to our veterans, while at the same time offering humanitarian aid to fellow human beings who happened to be born on the other side of an imaginary line while we hammer out the details of how we are to deal with them?

If you answer yes to the former, and no to the latter, you've lost a big piece of your humanity, if you ever had it in the first place.

    Emphasis mine.

    I know, right?

What in hell were the Founding Fathers of this Great Nation thinking when they made it absolutely clear that if you were born on American soil, you were, by birthright, an American citizen?

Tell me, what other aspects of the Constitution have you deemed obsolete or irrelevant?

Since they each breed 5 or 6 more future welfare recipients, how long do you think we can keep up with them?

Let's ask Hamilton what he thought about that:

The survival of the American republic, Hamilton maintained, depends upon “the preservation of a national spirit and a national character.” He asserted: “To admit foreigners indiscriminately to the rights of citizens the moment they put foot in our country would be nothing less than to admit the Grecian horse into the citadel of our liberty and sovereignty.”

Sounds like the opposite of multiculturalism to me.
