BLU-82 (Daisy cutter) is not GBU-43 (MOAB). This goes beyond simply being a larger ordinance, but in function. Its like saying that the 32" console tv you had in 1974 is the same thing as your 55" OLED flatscreen. The daisy cutter is a vietnam era weapon. The MOAB is different in a number of ways... including larger ordinance.
Ofcourse you lacl.the critical thinking to see what else it provides outside of kills. Because you don't read anything. You, like most librrals, simply "feel" and then post.
I've no idea of what this exercise cost in terms of construction of the device and its delivery, but seeing as only a handful of jihadists might (or might not? Who would know!) have been wasted, I hope it was worth the capital expenditure!
At the rate Trump is wasting money on his wars he will spend $100 Trillion in four years. We could have dropped a hundred thermobaric bombs of the area for a fraction of the cost of the MOAB.
And yet the generals found it fitting to use that instead. Perhaps you should hear what they have to say before just jumping to typical liberal hate.
Oh, so not that dissimilar from using Sarin or any other common "WMDs" that the west gets so outraged with
37 (made up figure) out of 800 (another made up figure) known to be in that area is a crap outcome. Many more will be be persuaded to join purely because of these sort of indiscriminate attacks
Like what? How is that bombing going to stop the next lorry attack? What the bombing will provide is the persuasion of more recruits due to their reasoning of being bombed from a country on the other side of the world. When will 'you' learn that doing the same thing over and over again will not give a different result
They aren't going to see a surge in numbers because of this. That is so illogical. Whoever would join them would likely do so anyways. This single bomb wasn't to destroy Isis in totality, so to pretend it was is obnoxious. It was to destroy that area, kill as many as possible, and open up further operations for us. All accomplished per the generals. When are you going to realize that all evil men need to succeed is for good men to do nothing? As a liberal I'm sure you find Isis to just need a safe space...
I presume that you did not know that ISIS was fighting against the Taliban and losing while killing each other until the US begin heavily bombing them last year resulting in a truce and then an alliance between those two groups to attack the US together. You war mongers have no idea but continue doing the same failed strategy used for the last 50 years. The US desires constant turmoil in the Middle East and Far East in order to please the military industry
Yes a fight that was largely stalemate with no winning side. Meanwhile tyranny was and is still a massive issue there. And not the bull **** "tyranny" that liberals complain about in the US such as making poor transgender use the proper bathroom. But murder, enslavement, torture, and much more. Liberals are so backwards. You feel it's a human right that Mexicans come to the US without vetting. But **** it when civilian middle eastern are gassed.
This is so funny. You being shown how little you know so you change the subject to LBGT and Mexican issues! You don't even realise that I've been pointing out the hypocrisy of outrage of using sarin!
I actually directly addressed your argument and showed it's irrelevance. Just because you are to dense to see it doesn't mean it didn't happen.
lol - you obviously haven't seen my posts and opinion the Jewish population prior to, during, and after the Holocaust.
Your "understanding" is wrong uninformed. I have been volunteering at THE VA hospital since I retired from my civilian job. I am someone who prior to volunteering last set foot in a VA hospital after Vietnam and I swore back then that I would never set foot alive in a VA hospital. There are problems indeed. The problems with the VA did not start with the Obamska administration they were there back under Nixon or even LBJ and Saint Ronnie Reagan. One of the stupid policies of the VA was the bonus program which was an attempt to act as a private business and stimulate efficiency. What it did was set up a system for corruption and what we saw is the crap administrators pulled of lying about wait times. I have the utmost respect for most of the staff especially the medical staff. Where I volunteer I see our staff who have given up their lunch time for confused WWII vets who show up on the wrong day or time. I have seen the younger Docs do small but important extra tasks for a Vet out if respect. These are those mundane tasks that I am there to do. I see our Medical Rehab staff bend but not break rules or laws to get things done for Vets that VA administrations yes I said ADMINISTRATIONS plural have been failing over the years. I have seen your posts over time and I see that you are seem hung up on hatred and crap throwing onto Obama. I am not a great supporter of his but the problems with the VA preceded BO by a long time. His administration failed to correct those problems that us true. What iscalso true is that Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Ford, Carter, Nixon, LBJ, and JFK also failed. Time to but thus partisan crap load away and solve our problems for Americans but living on hatred for the other party be it Republicans or Democrats is not the way to help veterans or Americans in general.
Evidently, then, it never occurred to either Idiot Bush or Idiot Obama to use the MOAB bomb before ...(?). Trump rolls it out now primarily to try to scare the hell out of North Korea, I guess, but I doubt it's going to have the desired effect. It certainly won't 'scare' China or Russia. In fact, Russia began testing their FOAB ("Father-of-all-bombs") over seven years ago, and it's evidently much larger now. Link: http://www.businessinsider.com/heres-the-father-of-all-bombs-russias-answer-to-the-moab-2017-4 http://www.express.co.uk/news/world...-times-more-powerful-Donald-Trump-MOAB-Russia https://www.rt.com/viral/384743-moab-russia-father-bomb/ I have a splendid idea! Why don't we and the Russians have a CONTEST to see whose thermobaric weapon is more powerful -- the "MOAB", or the "FOAB". We could each drop several of them on North Korea, comparing the results after each detonation. That would serve several useful purposes, obviously. We could have a good-spirited, sportsman-like contest followed by drinking, feasting, and whoring afterwards, and, we could get rid of the North Korean 'pustule' and his "threat".... How 'bout it, Donald? How 'bout it, Vlad? Let's get off this kick of being pissed-off at each other and do something FUN for a change! . "Together, we could rule the whole f*cking world, you idiot!"
One big bomb does not differ in its impact from the cumulative destructive power of a number of smaller ones. It represents a continuation of the Dubya and Obama policy with a desire to grab headlines. When the "big one" was deployed to Afghanistan under the Obama regime six moths ago, it was inevitable it would be dropped eventually. You never find one of these at the military surplus auctions to wow the kids on July 4.
Then the Veteran's Admin should be revamp allowing veterans to see private doctors and hospitals. That would stop a lot of the problems.
Huh? Of course one large highly effective munition has a better result than several smaller. Ridiculous statement. Case in point? Our futile missile strike on the Syrian airbase using Tomahawk missiles. Like FIFTY of them costing us over 50 million dollars. One of these bunker buster types costing a fraction? Levels the place. Literally.
Not really.. for much of its history the ME has b The VA has had problems since the 1970s.. and its expensive, but not Obama's doing. Bush cut benefits for concussive type head injuries..
1. The entire budget for the VA should immediately be diverted directly to veterans to start HSA's. 2. The real estate held by the VA should be sold and the proceeds put into the vested HSA's created for veterans. 3. The VA officials who withheld life saving healthcare from veterans for bounty money should be investigated by local and or federal grand juries for numerous felonies including murder in those cases where the victims died as a result of the denial of care.
