Blue Laws in Tennessee. I would like to buy alcohol on Sunday but cannot because of religious pressure. Gay people were labeled as mentally ill, because of religious pressure. Sodomy was illegal, because of religious pressure. All of these have made life for homosexuals hell in the US.

Maybe you are confused about the premise, in my instance I am blocked from an activity because of religious influence - several years back and I would have been arrested due to religious laws. I am talking about the imposition of rule.
