It does seem to be the case. That and their non stop hatred for those of color. Just look at the language coming from the folks who threatened hanging Al Green and calling him the N word when he brought up impeachment.

With Trump, they felt with his racist campaign of his, they again had the license to bring back a little of that "o'le time religion" of racism and hatred, that normally sits back in a closet somewhere until somebody brings it out.

I guess you could say it's part of an ongoing character study of the man leading our country.

 

That's the spoiler mentality inherent to the two-party system that I would really like to see go away. It is why, no matter how poor the D and R choices are in a given election, we always end up with one or the other - it's the fault of the electorate who share a common delusion of having no other choices. Of course, for their part, the two parties and the not-so-independent, thoroughly non-public Debate Commission absolutely work to maintain that status quo as well.

 

I supported Senator Sanders, but I realized that it was an emergency to keep Trump far away from The White House when it came down to him and Hillary so I did what needed to be done.

 

Every election ends up like that, though. So many end up voting against one candidate by voting for the other. It's a shared delusion because we all believe that everyone else will vote a certain way, and so we vote the same (or opposite) way, and they all think and vote that way. There is nothing forcing people to think and vote this way; they just do. In a free system where people can vote for whomever they choose, they continue to limit their choices on their own through this thinking.

Not that I know of any way to change it. I sure can't hope to do that just complaining about it. But I lament this situation all the same, and I do not participate in that thinking. I haven't voted for a D or R presidential candidate for as long as I've been voting. My state always ends up going Democrat anyway, and my lone vote has no chance of changing that. All in all, it's a stupid system that we have, I feel, because it has devolved into what we see. I'm sure it was not intended to end up quite like this by the Founders.

 

Like I said " Why would Slick pay Paula Jones 850k if he was innocent?" Probably end his career with a judgment. Is Political expediency like resigning to be with the family? As many libs/progressives have been saying for the last 6 months, where there's smoke there's fire.
