What he should not have done was get involved with a known gangster. And it does not give me a thrill to see my country being led by self-serving thieves and power hungry little people with no allegiance or vision. Parasitic leeches that make a living screwing the average American while collecting a salary and healthcare on the taxpayer's dime.

It's exactly as easy for Sessions as it was for Comey regarding Trump. Comey testified that he pulled Sessions aside for a 1 on 1 ... hmmm ... to discuss being "uncomfortable" having 1 on 1's ??? So, either Sessions denies the conversation took place, or indicates that Comey related something contrary to his testimony during that dreaded 1 on 1. Sessions will cite chapter & verse, the US criminal statutes Comey violated by leaking, and his dereliction of duty for not reporting alleged obstruction.

Self-serving is expecting that people should testify about on-going investigations for political theater.

The people have a right to know what is going on. They work for us, remember?

Obviously Mueller sees more than smoke or he would't be assembling a world-class team, including the nation's most respected criminal prosecutor.

And there are two aspects of this - legal and political. Trump didn't have to commit a crime to be impeachable.

A written request to NOT testify kind of negates the written request to testify.

Sessions submitted a written REQUEST to testify before committee to specifically address Comeys testimony. I need not rely on clairvoyance ... the writings on the wall.

I am reciting what is stated by legal scholars. The Constitution clearly says he shall be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors. So "a crime" is a sufficient but not necessary criteria for impeachment. And as it reads, if a crime has been committed, he must be impeached.

Clairvoyant? I don't even know what you mean by that.

Spin this pathetic excuse for an administration anyway that you like but why are we at this point just months into new executive office? Only a really devout idiot did not see this coming. OMG..Trump's reputation and history was on display for all to see, but for some bizarre reason his fans placed a halo over his head and placed the future in his grubby hands. So much to do and as other nations move into the future, the USA needs a crop dusting to rid itself of the corruption that this crook and swindler brought with him. Thanks Trump fans...any other reality show snake oil salesman you want to foist upon the American people? As if there was not corruption in the fist place. Drain the swamp my ***!

So you have to dredge up OLD NEWS from 2016?

You have nothing current at all?

Thanks for admitting that the extremist alt right is hyperventilating over old grudges.

    :roflol:

Do you hear anyone on the left complaining about the BLOTUS referring to "crooked Hillary" from last year?

Clairvoyant? 'Sessions will cite chapter and verse...' etc. That, old chap, is either clairvoyance or assumption. In other words, second guessing.

Having a 1 on 1 with you boss is SOP. Having a 1 on 1 with your boss's boss is NOT!

    Who was Comey's boss?

Comey was not derelict in his duty. He reported it to his own organization and they collectively chose to delay bringing it to the attention of Sessions because he was going to recuse himself. There is no statute requiring that it must be reported IMMEDIATELY.

Hardly. With 3 approprietly authorized congressional committees, and independent counsel already steeped in the investigation, Sessions rightly delegated his #2. Partisans on the APPROPRIATION committee, have openly confessed their intentions of minimizing the designed function of their committee, and intended scope and purpose for their meeting. DOJ funding is all Sessions #2 will be focused on, as intended, as required. Sessions will be testifying before the appropriate committees. Dems have grown to accustomed to violating gov't protocols. From emails to unmasking, to intel leaks, Dems continue to break every rule.

Draft Dodger Donnie doesn't have it in him to be able to speak for twenty minutes
    and not lie.

    Believe me.

It's nice of him to offer, like when he has offered to post his income taxes a half dozen
    times.

It isn't likely to happen short of impeachment.

If Sessions testifies about the Russian investigation he will be violating his own recusal!

    Treason?

    Or treasonous?

We've seen him disclose top secrets when he was showing off how important
he thinks he is when blabbing to his Russian friends.

But, by law, the POTUS is entitled to declassify anything he wants by opening
his big mouth: he could read the launch codes at his next press conference
    if he was so inclined.

I can stipulate, but admit I have to speculate, to stipulate. Sessions requested to testify in response to Comey. If Sessions contradicts any aspect of Comeys testimony, it is perjury. There's no gray area.

What, you mean like Trump got rich from the $14 million gift from daddy Trump? Did that all by himself, did he?

    HAHAHAAHAHAHAHHA!

    Not over here in America.

Being his boss doesn't make him right, especially when Sessions has already established
himself as a liar in front of Congress.
