You guys love to ignore all the laziness of the no CiC, but some of us, even those who don't agree with everything he does but agree with some, are sick of the same republican obstructionism we have seen for nearly a decade now.

Trump should keep his mouth shut, stick to his campaign promises, and ****ing govern. Instead we're forced to watch him sign useless executive orders, tweet endlessly, watch TV, etc. The country needs leading and Trump playing his blame games IS NOT HELPING.

The OP of this very thread challenged me a few weeks ago about my negative views towards Hillary Clinton. I also make no secret of my disgust for Clinton. PT didn't like my posts but she wasn't rude to me about it.

You are unwittingly doing just that. I'm not a Trump fan either, but I'm also not a hater. I like truth, which is something we aren't getting much of from Trump, the GOP, the DNC, or the media.

 

Yes, people have called me a neocon. I'm probably close to that. I'm not a war monger. I have so many across the board views that don't fit me neatly into any box. I don't believe in pre-emptive strikes against countries that don't attack us first. I want marijuana legalized. I was pro gay marriage only because I don't care who consenting adults marry. I don't believe in welfare. I love low taxes. Some people would probably define me closer to a right leaning libertarian than a neocon.

I voted for Bush because I genuinely liked the man (the man himself), and because I didn't like Kerry and Gore.

I don't hate Trump, Sage. Hate is a strong emotion. It's impossible for me to hate someone I don't know and who didn't do anything to make me hate him. I don't like his personality and I find him personally repulsive in his words and his actions. So far he hasn't done anything to earn my respect. I don't trust him, and have no reason to.

I judge him based on what I see, not what is fed to me by the GOP or the DNC or anyone else. Remember, he uses Twitter to control his own messaging, and is proud of that fact. I don't like his messaging. And that's the one I can read for myself that presumably comes right from his own mind.

I never said the reverse isn't true. Both sides do it. Some just act like 'the other side' is the ONLY ones who are hypocrites and take every chance possible to jump in and tell the other side how hypocritical they are. Oh well, it is what it is. Internet forum life. Gotta love it.

 

A hater doesn't necessarily hate a person. It's a catch all term for people that talk smack about another. We all have haters. They may not like us but hate is another thing entirely.

In my personal life, I don't use any of those services. No Facebook, no instagram, no twitter, etc. it can lead to bad things.

 

Then report all of us who are discussing Trump to the moderators if it bothers you.

Trust me, after all my years here I'm well aware of how nasty people can be. Even my most benign posts have often been given ugly replies. It's hard not being boxed into a neat label. It get it from both sides. I'm very much in favor of guns, the death penalty, quick justice for molesters and rapists (you should hear what I'd do to them), etc.... On the other hand I think abortion is strictly a woman's personal choice, sexual partners is also personal choice, etc...
See? I've been the receiver of all sorts of nastiness. When I was new here I was terrified of pissing certain members off. There were nights I was sitting here in tears reading some of the **** said to and about me. It took me a while to toughen up. Now I'm not as quick to cry. I give back what I was, and am, given.

 

Facebook is mentioned in more then 50% of divorce proceedings, or at least I read that somewhere. Be that as it may, Facebook is a really ruinous thing for humanity. Humans have evolved over centuries in generally 30 strong communal living tribes, not in massive cities, or, the internet, where everyone is in touch with everyone.

That, I think, is the real reason for the destruction of the marital unit. Not left or right policies, but interconnected people not evolved to handle the interconnectedness of modern life.

Our biological and sociological processes are still stuck in that tribal mindset.

 

I suppose that's where we differ. I couldn't care less who anyone is. I engage directly based on the quality and content of a post or argument, which is precisely why I, nor anyone else arguing against it, buy any of this garbage about PT's post being benign or benevolent. It's just a ****ed up way of trying to cast a shadow over anyone who dare oppose the Black Bloc, and their extensions.
