Not to excuse what we did at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but the Japanese began mimicking Germany with its racist ideals. They became militaristic as well as genocidal towards its neighbors, and committed some of the worse atrocities imaginable, especially on the Chinese... but on Korea and the Philippines as well. The Japanese government has never told its people the crimes they had committed, especially at Nanking, so they wouldn't suffer feelings of collective guilt.

When my grandson went on a college trip to Hiroshima and Nagasaki during an anniversary, he noticed a small run down museum that belonged to the Korean government. He said the Japanese students inside were shocked at what they saw. He said there was one photo of a Japanese soldier posing proudly with a sword as he was ready to behead a Korean princess.

This should give you an idea of what the US was dealing with at the time.

Obviously you never heard of Karl Marx who was a product of Western Enlightenment... or how the Bolsheviks were supported by certain NY bankers to overthrow the Tsar ...or how the Kaisar sent in Lenin to disrupt the country during the war. Maybe you should do a little less writing, and read a little bit more... instead of listening to your American trained propagandist on TV.

Let me tell you something else. Before WWI Russia had the fastest growing economy in the world... and the Tsar had plans to distribute his lands to the Serfs, so Lenin knew he had to work fast and the war played right into his hands. These revolutionists were the first to utilize propaganda, because Tsar Nicholas II made the mistake of having a free press. The minute the Bolsheviks took over, they took over the press.

Now what else do you want to know?

You're thinking of the past. Only those who can obtain top positions would want to come to the US today, or those in Central America who do not have houses to live in, so that even the minimum wage is something of value to them.

Do you realize what the unemployment rate is here ...and I'm talking about college graduates who are immersed in debt?

Why are you talking about democracy, when Kerry said he refuses to accept the elections in Syria if Assad is running, because he is sure to win... and he did. Out of a turnout of over 75% he received over 88% of the vote. After the vote Kerry said he wouldn't accept the results because there was a war going on. Yet in an 'in your face' attitude, he accepted the vote in Ukraine while the war was raging, and when anyone representing the majority of the country, was thrown in trash bins and threatened not to run.
As to be expected, only the Western part of Ukraine had a decent turnout.

Russia wants good relations with the US... but it has to be on an equal basis, and that is something the US will not give any nation. They will only accept subservience.

Since 1945, the US has justified numerous wars, interventions, and military build-ups based
on the pretext of the Russian Red Menace, even after the Soviet Union collapsed at the end
of 1991 and Russia stopped being Red. In fact, the two biggest post-war American
conflicts, the Korean and Vietnam wars, were not, as has been frequently claimed, about
stopping Soviet aggression or even influence, but about maintaining old colonial
relationships. Similarly, many lesser interventions and conflicts, such as those in Latin
America, were also based upon an alleged Soviet threat, which was greatly overblown or
nonexistent. And now the specter of a Russian Menace has been raised again in the wake
    of Donald Trump’s election.

Maybe, who knows, from 1960, maybe during Khrushchev time, he was ukranian, and was fond of the culture.

So because the Russians somehow got hold of Prussian born Karl Marks' "The Communist Manifesto" and "Das Kapita"l 'the West' is somehow responsible for what happened there? Too bad they weren't able to get a copy of "The Wealth of Nations" by Adam Smith. It could have turned history right around and millions of Russians could have lived happy productive lives instead of spending them in line-ups.
The Russians blame their 70 years of communist rule on the West and rightfully so, since to them it was just another Western imposition... So Lenin, Stalin, Trotsky et al were all Westerners? The Russian generals too? These boards are an excellent place to pick up new theories of historical events.
A Russian philosopher, huh? What about a Russian economist instead? Does the philosopher say how this occurred? Are the Russians so dense that they'd allow 'Harvard boys" to just come over to Russia and steal their money? I wish I'd have known this 25 years ago.
Interesting that the Americans can easily steal Russia's money and install the leaders of their choice. The Russian people, according to your version of history, don;t seem to be too bright.

I've travelled throughout Central America and am writing this from there now and the worst impediment to their success is government corruption. The power of the Bureaucracy. And its the same problem in much of Asia and eastern Europe as well. In fact that's one of the reasons Trump is trying to "drain the swamp'.
Too many of these college graduates tend to be poorly educated in real terms. Many of them should have directed themselves to blue collar jobs where trained workers are need.
Kerry was a schmuck. Are we really going to judge US Foreign policy on John Kerry? The entire Obama Administration was based on political connections, not competence.
I don't buy that at all.

Just as it wasn't really Russians who committed so many of the Crimes of the 20th Century, but the Soviets, it's just as true that Americans didn't commit any of the crimes you mention, (Hiroshima, Nagaski, Dresden) but was instead the fault of the Democratic Party. That must make sense to you.

I hardly think the Forest Brothers could hold a candle to the rape and brutality of the Soviets in the WW 2 era.

I've studied the War on the Eastern Front and the conquests of the Soviets for many decades.

Even IF the Nazis killed all 6 million Jews (as the story goes), then they still can't compare to all the atrocities the Soviets inflicted.
    http://www.wow.com/wiki/Soviet_war_crimes

Stalin's Holodomor genocide took at least 7 million (unless you are Holodomor Denier).

I understand your brainwashed point of view. However, the Hollywood movie industry has been, and continues to be almost entirely controlled by Left Wing Socialists.

That's why there has been over 200 films made about "The Holocaust" and not a single film about the Great Leap Forward Genocide by Mao in Communist China or the Holodomor by Stalin. Less than a few films have been made about the Commie's Cambodian genocide under Pol Pot or the Soviet gulags.

Please name one Right Wing Conservative Christian running anything of importance in Hollywood. Just one please.

Looks like you had bad teachers. There were probably Nazis who tried to blame Soviets in everything.
The links in wiki is written by whoever wants to write something and not professionals so most of them is crap. I can give you the same links to many American crimes.
As what did Stalin in his own country is non of your business, it is our internal matter. 7 millions!!! Why not 10 or 20 millions? Some claim that numbers. They pop up from nowhere. By the way, Brittanica, which is quite respectable source give 5millions: https://www.britannica.com/topic/Famine-of-1932

Lt. Calley and our US troops over the years have acted more like Jesus and his apostles compared to the average brutality of a Soviet infantry unit invading Germany.

The former chief of staff of the German Fourth Army, Major General Erich Dethleffsen, testified on 5 July 1946 before an American tribunal in Neu-Ulm. He said:

When in October, 1944, Russian units temporarily entered Nemmersdorf, they tortured the civilians, specifically they nailed them to barn doors, and then shot them. A large number of women were raped and then shot. During this massacre, the Russian soldiers also shot some fifty French prisoners of war. Within forty-eight hours the Germans re-occupied the area.[1]

Karl Potrek of Königsberg, leader of a Volkssturm company present when the German Army took back the village, testified in a 1953 report:

In the farmyard stood a cart, to which more naked women were nailed through their hands in a cruciform position ... Near a large inn, the 'Roter Krug', stood a barn and to each of its two doors a naked woman was nailed through the hands, in a crucified posture....In the dwellings we found a total of 72 women, including children, and one old man, 74, all dead. ... Some babies had their heads bashed in.

Whatever sources you want to quote, the facts remain that millions fled the Soviets both before and after they invaded. If the Soviets were such angels, as your Commie teachers have made you believe, then why did so many Germans flee to the West to surrender or live under the Western Allies???

I viewed the Iron Curtain in person more than once. And the walls and defenses there were there to keep those under Commie rule penned in, NOT to keep others from coming in.

I've read over 100 different books and accounts during this period, and they all tell the same story.

    Communism/Socialism = Suck.

Yeah, communism/socialism was a wonderful thing, according to some politburo apparatchiks. It was wonderful for everyone else except the "socialists" themselves.:))).

This is no surprise that Germans ran away to the West- because West was more tolerant to fascists, which is also quite explainable as fascists have never done in the West (France, Netherlands etc) sort of things - terrible things that they did in the East- in Soviet Union,Poland.
Moreover, US was a host for many Nazi criminals. I do not think you can blame New York Times in love to Soviets:
    http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/14/us/14nazis.html?pagewanted=1&ref=general&src=me
It looks like the history repeats... NATO is glorifying Nazi supporters who killed lots of Jews in Baltic states. Do you have Hitler's Mein Kampf on the nightstand in your bedroom ?

Sorry, but I'm no Nazi. I don't like any socialist form of government, National Socialist or otherwise. I'm a capitalist.
    I've never read Mein Kampf.

By the way, do you support all of ten tenets of Communism?

What do you mean by ten tenets of Communism? In fact, communism itself is not a bad thing at all. But there was no communism, neither socialism in USSR.

There are no famines and no food lineups in communist society. Read Marx if you want to know what is communism.
Who told you that there was communism in Soviet Union? :D

I've read Marx, nothing worthwhile really, lol. Obviously millions of Muscovites thought differently, followed it to a T, and lived in darkness for 8 decades:))).

It was never the policy of the Soviets to exterminate people, although like the ideologue Trotskyites in Washington today, human life didn't matter since the end justifies the means.

This differs from the Nazis, whose policy was to exterminate people to take their lands in Eastern Ukraine and Russia in order to feed their population. The rationale was that the Slavs were untermenchen since they didn't produce what the Germans deemed as important. ..like for instance giving everyone a washing machine or a better toaster. Which is nice of course, but it's not everyone's purpose in life.

Do these things sound familiar, because they should. Not only do we support wars with an indifference towards human lives for globalism and a new world government similar to the Soviet Union, but like the Nazis we perceive Russians as being untermensch, since they will not subjugate themselves to us, and accept what we deem important.

Washington feels they have the right to break up the Federation with whatever means they have at their disposal no matter how deceitful, since they see themselves as being more capable of developing Russia's natural resources. In addition to this, there are the
social issues ... like eliminating Christianity and imposing a liberal democracy.

All of it stems from arrogance and greed.
