I like many of the ideas being floated in this bill. Unfortunately, if we want to make English the official language, that will require a constitutional amendment. I do not see that happening anytime soon.
I guess you missed the part where I say the GOP is starting to distance themselves from Trump. This isn't "fake news" or "alternative facts." And they have been vocal about it.

No. I meant what I've said. It's very condescending you to think that your grandparents can do it yet somehow legal immigrants are now leeches. I can imagine conservatives in those days hated your grandparents and called them leeches as well.
The Don can do a lot without Congress. Immigration is a policy and many actions can be taken unilaterally regarding visas, types of visas issued, number of annual visas, etc. Those decisions are not written into law.
