Sorry, but I heard the spokesman from Numbers USA say precisely that. It's hard for me to believe that a group like that that supports this kind of thing would have its facts wrong.

 

Sure, increase the minimum for the EB-5 program to $1.8 million.

That will keep the poor guy who wants to immigrate to American to start a Chinese restaurant, a dry cleaner or buy a hotel franchise.

But it will make America safe for the money launderers who buy luxury condos through this program from guys like Donald and Jared!

This bill has no effect on the nonimmigrant E-2 investor program which allows for a visa in these types of investment situations.........but keep picking

But if you're not for open borders, why not? I mean, it seems a real puzzle since you don't want to place any criteria on potential immigrants.

 

I don't understand what it has to do with this topic. This topic isn't really about illegal aliens or people here on low skill work visas. So I don't know which Mexicans demanding higher wages you are even talking about. So what Mexicans are you talking about and how does that tie in with this immigration proposal?

A lot of people who try to get into the USA legally are rejected. For 20 years or so there has been a plan to swamp the nation with illegal aliens who do not have skills - and there are numerous programs to provide housing, health care, food, transportation, for these people, as well as protect them from deportation (sanctuary cities).

Why would Trump have a plan that targets Hispanics? Because Hispanics are the problem. The problem is the southern border, and who is South of the border? Hispanics. You are blinded by the diversity bug.

As it was dissected quite brilliantly on Lawrence's show last night, this is an effort of Trump's to pander to the small hardcore base he has, to keep them on his side. It won't get passed through Congress, and won't get to his desk to sign. How the hell do you expect to get your fruit from the store? Who's gonna pick that fruit, huh? Does more culture scare you that badly, you want an exclusively-English speaking country?

 

They fill large sections of the economy because they undercut American workers on wages. It is easier for me to fire an American who is making a fair wage with some benefits for him and his family and hire me an illegal at a lower wage and no benefits. If I'm lucky I don't even have to pay them on the book, under the table is best. Un-American? Who cares? Better to have an illegal who will keep his mouth shut than some minority who is in my face for more money. Now that he doesn't work for me he can get welfare, food stamps, Medicaid and WIC and lunch programs for his kids. The illegal? If he get's sick the hospitals not going to turn him away. If he knows someone he can get fake papers and get help from the government. Welcome to America or should it be "Only In America"

 

English is the official language of the United States, deal with it. Either assimilate and come here looking to become American, or feel free to leave or never come here in the first place.
