Yep. My son gets mad at me alot because if I see someone walking I'll pull over and see if they need a ride.
No, I'm disgusted that we can't even ONE stinking thread that's supposed to be for a united matter. No, you had to get your little dig in Ugh.
((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Glad you are safe)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) Tough times for all. Stay safe
And there are many more like them - I hope that this will get better soon for them and kudos for you and the others for doing all the volunteering and helping
So you responded to me with that complaint, when the very response I was responding to was one complaining about politics and that Texas was run mostly conservatives and questioned whether they should receive federal aid, but it was ME you are complaining to instead of one of your liberal side pieces. You were only out of power and internet for 5 days? Wow, don't think I had ever gotten services restored that quickly after a hurricane.
Ok, I've had it with you people sitting in your dry, cool houses with plenty of water to drink and food to eat. Y'all have absolutely no idea what it's like to go through these things. Not even sorta. You do NOT get to talk **** about my state nor my fellow Texans. I'm fed up with all of y'all doing this crap. Not everyone has the wherewithal to high tail it out of here. Walk a mile, buster. Walk. A. Mile.
I'll write a small novel tomorrow. Today I don't feel very well. I've been fighting a severe cold through out this nightmare.
Tofu and veggie meat section in a sold out HEB grocery store. Texans would rather starve than eat that stuff. Lol
So are you saying that people don't have sense enough to make basic preparations and to go to a designated shelter when a major hurricane will be knocking on their door? Of course not everyone can leave the area nor should they. They have to stay to bring the city back to life. However, there are serious consequences of staying in an indefensible house when it's flooding. And even if you don't get flooded you will be affected by lack of utilities. Remember, the storm is moving deep into the country and flooding is happening in Tennessee and in other States.
You know what they say about good deeds. Matthew 6:1-4 (CEV) = "When you do good deeds, don’t try to show off. If you do, you won’t get a reward from your Father in heaven. 2 When you give to the poor, don’t blow a loud horn. That’s what show-offs do in the meeting places and on the street corners, because they are always looking for praise. I can assure you that they already have their reward. 3 When you give to the poor, don’t let anyone know about it. 4 Then your gift will be given in secret. Your Father knows what is done in secret, and he will reward you."
