I always reply to my notifications but in this case I won't bother. And before some smarty-pants says ''You just did!", it's an acknowledgement not a reply.
Had to go back a bit to see where this question came from, so for reference for others, here is a logical point from within the sub thread. This is NOT the definition of homosexuality. Homosexuality is a noun and is the specific word for when one's sexual orientation is for that of their own gender/sex. Homosexual is an adjective, that is used to denoted when something is associated with homosexuality. It is sometimes used sans the noun within the sentence, but that is lazy English or just common parlance, but it is still an adjective. For example, if we say, "He is a homosexual," we are leaving out the word "man" or "person", but the implication is plain. This is a common practice within the English language. Touching the privates of a person of the same gender as yourself would be homosexual behavior, typically, but not always, but it does not indicate homosexuality automatically. For example, medical doctors touch the genitals of a person of their same gender multiple times a day, and somehow I really doubt that you will be saying that they are, by definition, homosexual.
You can't really fault Mohammad for having young wives when it was the cultural norm of the time for girls to marry around age 9 or 10. It may we wrong by modern standards, but it was completely normal at the time, since marriage was meant only for having children, and the normal age for marriage was whenever a girl hit puberty. And Mohammad was no more sociopathic and murderous than his Christian and Jewish counterparts.
It's just that it was the second time you asked me if I'm in prison and I don't know what the relevance of it is?
perhaps not but I can say with good certainty that he certainly isn't someone to follow. so you're telling me Moses was a sociopath? How many 9 year olds did Jesus f***?
I asked you if you're at risk of being anally penetrated without your permission and you said yes. To assume you're in jail or maybe a fraternity is very reasonable. You didn't answer that's why I asked again. Am I to assume the answer is yes?
In a written forum, with a lack of audio and visual cues, it is quite easy to miss sarcasm and other related forms of speech. So when you do so without making it obvious, such as the use of </sarcasm> at the end, then you run the risk that others will not pick up on that.
It depends on what you mean by 'follow' .If you are following in a spiritual or philosophical journey, lead by a spiritual or philosophical guide, you do not need to have sex with who they have sex with, or eat the foods that they eat or wear the clothing that they wear. We do not know anything about the sex life of Jesus, but presumably a gay man need not have heterosexual experiences , to be a Christian if the Bible had documented same for Jesus of Nazareth in Mathew or Mark. I think you can probably be a Christian and follow Jesus and not ride a Donkey into towns or engage in carpentry too.
No i couldn't. I lack the ability to know what people are thinking based on words being typed. Listen, I take no position on your view of homosexuality Everyone's entitled to their opinion it just seems odd that you think about this so much. Of the straigt men I've known, the ones that don't enjoy anal sex, they don't seem to express such a phobia. It's odd.
Oh I couldn't agree more, but Polydectes is well aware of my stance on this subject and should have spotted the sarcasm from ten miles away. Make it twenty!
As I've said many times before - I only think of anal sex when I'm reminded of it, and my posts are a way of mitigating my resentment because being reminded of it literally makes me feel sick. Sorry but I can't help it. As to it being a 'phobia' - you could be right.
Your belief on what he should and should not have picked up upon is irrelevant to reality. If you fail to make clear your sarcasm, then it is on no one else but you.
I was happy before. Your ability to own up to your mistakes or your need to be prodded into recognizing them is irrelevant to my state of happiness.
I'm really only curious and I hope I'm being polite if I'm not please tell me because it's my intent to be polite. Typing these posts don't make you think about it? well phobias come in many varieties. There are many reasons for why people have them. I will have to say this is one I've never heard of. So I guess you're doing nothing wrong. But just so you know if you talk about it here people are going to argue with you about it maybe there's a better place.
Be assured that I have no problem with you, Polydectes, and I never have had because you seem a nice guy, and I'd buy you a pint any time. I suspect that deep down you do know where I'm coming from.
So why in heck do you bother to be on a forum about LGBT rights and issues ? So you can crow how Gay sex sickens you ? Why don't you go somewhere else ? Funny how this forum has more haters of the LGBT community than not.
