The flag and anthem are what makes Americans unique and they're an opportunity to recognize their commonality, their Americaness. There are those who want to turn Americans against each other and this is just another example.

Correct, nation-hating leftist type football players don't HAVE to do a lot of things. Oddly enough the very Right of Center 'fans' whom as a group pretty much made those pampered and spoiled leftist haters into millionaires for playing games don't have to keep attending games. So those leftist haters should continue publicly hating this nation and those Right of Center patriots should spend their money elsewhere. That way everyone will be happy. Well . . . happy until the owners begin losing vast amounts of income, and then perhaps those nation-hating leftist players will also be made very, very unhappy.

I said this months ago, once Trump as his Ass Kissers are done ****ing with Muslims and Mexicans, he'll go back to his Racist standby, Black People,

Guess what, this ain't the 60s anymore. Black People fight back now.

The point I am making is the constitution and more importantly the bill of rights gives you freedom of speech protection from your government. There is absolutely nothing in the entire constitution that protects your freedom of speech from your employer.

Are you black, a Muslim, Mexican? And how has Trump or his electors violated the constitutional rights of any of them?

Well cops emptying a full clip into the back of an unarmed Black man with no repercussions is probably a good start. Having the highest prison population on the planet where 80% are black is another. I mean the list is so expansive I don't even know where to begin. You imprison more people than almost all third world countries combined... what's your problem?.

I know enough about you to know you've never served in the military, much less in combat.

To Donald Trump,' by Leland Melvin, former NASA Astronaut and NFL Player
    "
used to walk the grounds of UVA in Charlottesville, VA as a graduate student only to watch in horror as those same grounds became a battlefield being trod by Nazi and anti-Semitic worshippers armed with assault style weapons ready to fight to make America White again. (their words). You actually said there were nice people on both sides. People armed and ready to kill other Americans for the purpose of eradicating Blacks, Jews, Hispanics, Mexicans, Asians, Latinas and even the first real Americans, Native Americans to make America Great Again were “nice people”?

Comparing this to what you say in condemnation of an unarmed black man peacefully protesting by exercising his constitutional First Amendment rights by silently taking a knee is appalling, unnerving and reprehensible.

Today, you called Colin Kaepernick “a son-of-a-bitch.”

You said he should be fired.

You are calling his white mother a bitch.

Go into work on Monday and invite your boss to anally rape himself with a cactus. Then tell me about how your "free speech rights" work in a commercial environment.

In fact I have served my country and DND for some 28 years to date. I have 3rd degree burns to 20% of my body, a few fingers missing and was only shot once thank god... and you?. I would hope you understand the average man tends to piss his pants and start screaming like a little girl at the first sign of trouble despite all this talk of bravado and patriotism. As I said you have no idea who I am.

QUOTE: "But, you see, to many people, acting like that is disrespectful and offensive. When he is on the job, what he thinks about it is irrelevant. His job - for which he is being handsomely paid - is to play football. It is not to offend his customers, and it is not to embarrass his owner or his teammates.

His thinking is irrelevant you say?, at no point is a man's thinking irrelevant unless of course you are stupid or a slave to some ideal. His customers might be offended because of his beliefs?... let them be offended. The owner is embarrassed... I can't help it if he's a ***** let him be embarrassed.

QUOTE: "Most people work under those exact same conditions. On the job, you don't offend your customers. You represent well. Most people in most occupations are not going to be around very long if they don't.

You are trying to compare a wallmart greeter to an athlete who is at the top of his game and he is obviously not most people nor is he you. You speak of respect so why will you not respect him?. Respect is always a two way street and so what if someone losses a job?... it's only a job. If you are willing to do anything, I mean anything, to keep your job then I would fire you on the spot because obviously you have no integrity.

All other sports require players to stand for the national anthem. NFL football players should do the same. If they want to protest something specific then do so on their own time out of uniform. But don't dishonor the country and those who have paid the ultimate price to preserve it and free so many individuals globally through time.

    That is Trump's message.

A person that asks a person who uses a wheelchair to stand for any reason lacks common sense and decency, that work for you? Don't need to be a medical professional to see that.

It would be nice if this is how things play out. I would like to see a large number of players take a knee tomorrow and also do the black power fist thing throughout multiple games. A few weeks of this and the NFL will be finished.

    Quoting you ...

"The military is pretty easy to understand.. keep your mouth shut do as your told like a good little peon and don't question anything. Like when some jackoff is told to carpet bomb a school or open up on civilians with the chain gun in Iraq and they do it. They are cowards in my opinion because they were supposed to be protecting those who cannot protect themselves not killing them."

This is the typical bulls--t you hear from those who hate the military and who know nothing about it from personal experience.

People can be whatever they want on the internet. If I was wrong about you, I apologize.

I served one tour of duty in the Army in the mid-70s post Viet Nam. My son is a Purple Heart Marine and on his 4th deployment as we speak.

He puts his pants on one leg at a time just like everyone else. I don't judge a man by his status or wealth. I'll tell you ... I see Kaepernick as a spoiled brat living in a bubble world. I render him zero respect. If what you said about yourself is true, I would render you a lot more respect and deference than I would to him. In fact, if a person impresses me with their character, I don't denigrate the WalMart greeter.

No, no, no. I never said I would do anything to keep a job. What I said was I would not offend my customers when I was on the job. Nor would I embarrass the company or its owner. This is the norm in business everywhere.

I am free to engage in political activity or protest or whatever, on my time, not company time.

as I said, the boss can fire them for excising there free speech, the government should not be saying a business should fire someone over their free speak.. see the difference - Trump can say he doesn't agree with, ect.. but when he starts saying someone should be fired for something as harmless as this, that steps over the line

and with all the nutty things the President says as official statements from the government, he is the one that should be fired

The US government is not saying that. Trump is giving his opinion. No line has been stepped over. You argue that the President should be fired for expressing his opinion.

I do not hate the military in any sense of the word because behind every uniform is a real person I know and many people don't see this. However when they say this is bs and they know it is wrong then they do it anyways I question their integrity. That is not what real men do in my opinion and every man draws a line and he says no I will not do that under any circumstances. That is what real men of real substance do and blindly following others does not fit into the equation.

That is how you may see him however is that who he is?. I mean you don't know him personally do you so how can you judge him?. In fact you have no idea who he is because you don't know him any more than you know me.

Quote: "No, no, no. I never said I would do anything to keep a job. What I said was I would not offend my customers when I was on the job. Nor would I embarrass the company or its owner. This is the norm in business everywhere.

I was under the impression my time is always my time because it is my life. You see the problem here may be that you have probably never been bleeding out. I mean you are literally covered in your own blood from head to toe, you look like casper the friendly ghost and those seconds are just ticking away... tick tock. The fact is few really understand life until they have felt their own death just around the corner. It's one of those things where people like to say they understand but they don't really have a clue.

I can only think that if everyone could see death up close and personal the world would be a very different place because they would understand how precious life is. We would not see these ***** orange skinned baffoon's talking about nuking an entire country filled with real people simply because their ego will not let them back down.

Agreed. No one in my family watches or attends ANY games and hasn't for YEARS, this was the final nail in the coffin. We even look for companies that market themselves as "official --- of the NFL" and boycott those products. Someone should post a list of them to make it easier to find and avoid them.

This is the kind of BS that is going to lead to a massive civil war in this country. That said, if a lot of liberals, leftists, muslims and illegals are all forced out - I'd have to say it wouldn't be something to root against.
