They're protesting Trump, and the people who voted for him. The US flag, and national anthem is something conservatives have great respect for ... it's why we never desecrate either in protest. Players had 62 million people to insult and this was the quickest, surest, most public way to do it.

Yep, the US Military is an advertiser in some venues.

Brings up a good point. The NFL like all businesses and advertisers does extensive market research before making changes or allocating funds. Obviously the fans like the show.

This is why the NFL so strictly controls the entire environment, changes that the fans don't like costs revenue. Everything is tested and researched beforehand to determine effect on revenue and customer satisfaction.

The player politicization of aspects of the event, have in the past, shown to be detrimental. Hence uniform regulations etc, etc, etc.

Do you mean his racially divisive words and actions were driven by his skin color? If that's what you're saying, I suppose I could sort of see your point, but I never thought of his failures as being due to him being black. There are plenty of successful respectable black men who aren't race-baiters and aren't constantly playing the race card, and not all blacks hate whites.....

Frazer took a dive. I saw the fight and it was obvious and the guy was all mobbed up.
Tom Brady and others are the last of a dieing breed of football players as more and more gang banger thugs move into the sport and that will hasten it's demise.

Really running from your BS now cigar? So do you think Black football players will boycott playing in the billionaires NFL or not? You said it, don't run from it. It was stupid then and it's even more stupid when you claim I don't know what I'm talking about. Employees don't get to make the rules, they can be engaged in the making of the rules but the Employer is the one that makes and enforces the rules. You don't like it go be an employer it's really that freaking simple.

Between this and concussions, I'm not sure the NFL is going to survive another 20 years.

Well you've conveyed that message much more succintly, and articulately than they have. And chosen an appropriate venue to do it. If only players had pre-game, or post-game interviews that would allow them to express their opinions without disrespecting the anthem, and flag. Is MSM denying them their 1st amendment rights? Are MSM fascists silencing their dissent? Why else take an ambiguous knee, and only convey "I hate America"?

Oh, it it definitely IS about race! That much is glaringly obvious! The whole damned 'cause célèbre' of this nauseating, low-brow drama is all about how 'downtrodden' the Black race in the United States is, and how it is targeted for persecution and murder by the entire American police force.... In a word -- BULLSHIT! What we have seen is more and more police who are being targeted for violence and murder by roving Black thugs and criminals.

Nevertheless, by any realistic account, almost 75% of all NFL players are Black. The more reliable stats I've seen about the NFL fan base shows that 83% of them are WHITE.

So, is this 'thing' all about race? You BET it is... and the hyperliberal Left, along with America-hating groups like BLM and ANTIFA, wouldn't have it any other way! Good! Then they can have their miserable, contrived 'penny-whistle' schauspiel and stuff it 'where the sun don't shine'....

NFL advertisers, take notice! Your anticipated 'money tree' is rapidly turning into a stinkweed!

Your right he took a dive from a series of right and left hooks, I saw all their fights also. You only come up with that BS to try and discredit both fighters.

Who are these gangbangers you are speaking of.

Personally, I found much of the NFL's response weak, disingenuous and hypocritical.

Freedom of speech works both ways...

I do say so, and I'm not in the minority like you'll hear the sour pickles on here claim. They, instead, represent the minority. It's a new concept they're still not used to.

With CTE, mothers will stop it. The more we find out, the faster it will happen.

My girlfriend had all their albums up to that point. We drove to the radio station and tossed them into a fire pit.
