My mother use to eat those disgusting things. And they made us eat brains and eggs scrambled together. Soon as i learned to read that trick was harder to play. And the beef calves liver and onions was another one [ because some quack told her we were anemic ] half cooked liver 3 times a week. Told us it was country fried steak even a toddler knows better that that. Liver was famous in the 50s.

Frankly,I don't care much for " relative speaking ".The practice in
my family as taught by our father was to avoid relatives as much as
    possible.
I remember on Spring Break my junior year,we { me and my
3 roomies } went to Florida.I was quite unimpressed by the
World Famous Ft.Lauderdale bar { Elbow Room }.
It was tiny, cramped and basically a Hole in the Wall.
Right off the beachfront. It did offer a nice view of the College
kids sashaying around in their string bikini and Surfer boy shorts like
in an Elvis vehicle.Jantzen was a favorite of both men and gals.
That would be,in particular the 60's.The Elvis 60's.

I went to a Military prep school my freshman year in high school.
They served souse about 2-3 times a month. The school was owned
by a Gentleman Farmer and the campus was huge and included
a horse stable and Pig Pen.I rode English.Ended up breaking my
middle finger { fell off my horse }.I named my horse { Maverick }.

In the early 70s we lived in Ft. Lauderdale. I worked on the beach at the Yankee Clipper as vale and in Sunrise City at The Out Post Pub bartending. S.Florida was beautiful and a good place to raise a family back then. But I missed Atlanta and home.

No ... Phelps School.Right next door to Malvern Prep.
The 2 campus were adjacent to each other but mise well
have been on 2 different planets.I never once saw the Malvern Prep
    campus or any of it's student body.Our school { very private }
did not have Football. We had soccer and every student was immersed
in Soccer. The Gym teacher had us play soccer each class.,even in
winter. We had Gym class I believe every other day.So that would be
    Monday,Wednesday and Friday.
The school's Gym coach lived in the smallest dorm with like
6 students. His nickname was " Bird ".Because he was So Cool
and used to be a surfer. One of his dorm kids used to have a stereo and
a record player. He would crank out the song - Surfin'Bird - on sunny
    Saturdays.

I went to Florida twice with my parents in the 60's.
We stayed in Pompano beach.I can't remember the name of the
Motel. But it was as good as it gets.My Dad was a film buff and
always had a camera around his neck taking pics.He developed
his own film as we had a Dark Room in our basement.
We managed my junior year to finagle a room at the famous
Fountainbleu Hotel. My Roomie had saved up and managed to
get all kinds of special vacation deals. One for Paradise island also.
We ended up in a 2 bed room at the Fountain Bleu.We took off the
top mattress so all 4 of us could bed down.We had to keep a low profile
since we weren't supposed to be 4 in a 2 person bedroom.

Pompano Bch. was the upper class part of S.Fl. There was a Hotel called The Egret with a little Tiki bar and a guy named Coco or Koko ? sang and played the ukelali spl. It was right on the beach I think it was called 'The Swigwaum?
We would put tips in his guitar.

Koko did it much better and sang with nice high pitch. But here is teh song.

Riding English means wearing a riding helmet and grooming the
horse each time and cleaning out the stall.Regular care of the saddle
and then Jumping.I really enjoyed it.But it requires work and commitment.
Like taking Piano lessons { which I did for 5 years in grade school }.
I gave up on the Piano and bought a Folk guitar in 8th grade with
my paper route money.I got talked into taking guitar lessons also.
The guitar teach was more interested in plugging his Supro line of
guitars. He was a nice guy but too 60'ish.Kinda looked like George
    Wallace,also.I used the folk and then got an electric { Sears Silvertone }
    with a nice Silvertone amp.

    - Surfin' Bird - was Late Night Schlock TV Jock Ghoulardi's
theme song. His late Friday Night { cruddy b - movies } were inserted
with him doing really Kooky stuff. He dressed up like Professor
Irwin Corey and wore a cheap wig with his Devils Van Dyke beard.
Shot off firecrackers and blew up little stuff in his cool studio.
Rode his Motorcycle around the halls in Famed Cleveland
    Broadcast Blg.
It was an early version of Mystery Science Theatre.
It was worth the week long wait.
    Never been anything close.
That's why I'm here. Same thingy.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Why do you think that grooming the horse, cleaning stalls and regular care of saddles is particular to riding "English"?

LOL. I think you know it doesn't. Most of those who know horses know that riding English is primarily the type of saddle. Basic animal care is the same for all responsible horse riders.

A difference between English and Western horse riding is reining as written about in the link below:
    https://www.equisearch.com/articles/english-vs-western-riding-17557

US "McClellan" Calvary saddle is more similar to an English saddle than a Western saddle:

good studies, to sum it up they have an entitlement mentality and are lazy which causes their unhappiness.

all they need is reading and living by the humility found in the good book to cure their 'depression'

or a little discipline by joining the military to set them straight, if they aren't too far gone to be accepted.

Because there is no way around it.In Western riding the strictness
    is not there.No riding helmut { basically because of Jumping }
and lax disciple as far as grooming and saddle/ bridle care.
    As a general rule.
English saddles are noticeably smaller and compact.
The riding gait is Very different. That is basically why I liked
English. It has grace and efficiency. The better to be adapted towards
    jumping or Equestrian.

That does not look at all like an English saddle.English are petite
and those stirrups are straight out of western movies.

While the maxim "Doctor, heal thyself" is applicable, they certainly need something. IMHO, it's outside help.

Wow. You're really somethin' special, ain'tcha?

Meanwhile, many people enjoy both types of riding without the compulsion to demean other types of riding.
