So dinner was about leftover wor-wonton soup with white wine fortified with mango rum and moonshine.

I know a little about Howard Hughes. I don't know that he resided in Incline Village.

First time I hear that "cold and rainy" is good. I remember when my family and I took two weeks at the Joisey shore years ago. Cold and rainy for the entire 2 weeks. Fortunately, the US open, a 2 week tennis event, was on tv for the entire time, so I settled down, ate
hamburgers, cooked 8lb lobsters with friends and family, ate lots of fresh clams, and had coffee with Smartmouthlady. Fun

I lived 1500 ft from the summit of one mountain. A nice warm home, good dinner, and snow falling is sweet, unless it happens every
day for weeks. Then it gets dreary, wet, cold, snow piled high everywhere and counting, not fun when shoveling becomes a way of life.
Each to his own, and it is important to have a positive attitude if you can sustain it for weeks at a time. Enjoy!

Why would you not refer to a poster? Building a personal relationship is part of being on a board. It may come as a surprise to you, but there are stupid posters here. That is not limited to one political viewpoint or another. I call out both sides.

    1. Personal attacks are against the rules.
    2. Why would you want to form personal relationships with stupid people?

    Have coffee instead. ;)

Unfortunately stupid people put a lot of bad information out on the internet, so the relationships become a consequence of trying to expose the facts.

Message boards are about expressing yourself and therefor personal. Any attack on one's position could be considered an attack of some form. There have been an alarming number of campuses across the nation where opinions have been silenced by liberal groups who were offended.

Privately owned forums are not in the public domain, so owners get to make their own rules. This one has been around for a long time; so its not likely to change. Walking the thin line between personal attacks and expressing ones opinion to a moron is part of the challenge of posting here.

A few things here and then we move on.

Two things we ask in this bar. This bar is not a place to discuss politics as requested by Smartie. Please don't discuss politics here. Follow the rules here.
The rules dictate if you have a question or concern with regard to a staff member, moderation or the rules, please post that in the Feedback area.

Members are not the topic of discussion on this board. Focus on the topic and not the poster. The Community area/Casual Chat is a great place to develop personal relationships if that is what you choose to do here. As tough as it is at times, this boards goal has always been to be a platform for respectful debate.

That's all Im going to say with regard to politics and questions about the rules in this bar. That's pretty much all that needs to be said here.

Now for some fun. My God please don't make me work in the bar.

I sang this song at 6 this morning, out the front door waving goodbye for the day.
    Really loud! Ahahaha
...and I didn't care. I cant wait for that first phone call.
    One more time.

Thank you, I may be a bit too much of a free speech person to post here. I will give it some time before deciding.

This may seem like a hard pill to swallow ... but here goes.
Dennis Prager { Radio Talk show host and Conservative Jewish
Intellectual } insists that Marriage is a contract. And that included in that
contract is the need to meet certain needs. And having sex is very much
a part of the contract.Furthermore when a man and woman get married
both spouses are bound by those needs. One is sex.And that it is morally
and contractually agreed upon via the contract to meet certain needs.
That is why Divorce proceedings and divorce lawyers go thru a litany
of avenues in a divorce case.
Prager said he was taught in Yeshiva from an early age about
the role of humans and contracts. That the most basic human
contract is how to go about life in meeting the needs of Mankind.
The do's and don't of being human. As if a Contract.
And it's a No No for a wife to refuse to service the sexual needs
    of a spouse.Because Marriage is,after all, a contract.
With limited exceptions { as both spouses agree prior to
marriage as to it being platonic or non-sexual in nature }.
    What say you.?

It's a lot easier (and cheaper) to get into a marriage than it is to get out of one.

You can take that to the bank . . . whilst you're getting taken to the cleaners. :cynic:

Nevertheless a Marriage IS a contract.
Then again a Father who does not marry and Fathers children
is still required By Law to Pay Child support.
Judges are very strict on this.To the point of treating child support
payments almost more important than Homicides.
