Neither Hitler nor especially Stalin claimed to be Christians. Hitler was not above claiming Christian approval or roots but made it quite clear both in Mein Kampf and elsewhere that he despised Christianity. Religion in general was a central nemesis of the Communist ideology and Stalin was thoroughgoing follower in that regard
