Pump-action shotguns -- how long before a ban?

I have several family members who are LEO's and except for one, all support strict gun control.

Change the laws and 2nd amendment and I think you'll see those LEO's who currently won't support infringements on the 2A will suddenly support whatever changes have been affected.

Why do you use the word "need"?

 

I suppose people could do that, if they wanted to. Or they could keep their guns in their home, or carry them on their person. Lots of options.

 

No, I support banning all weapons except bolt action shotguns, bolt action rifles and musketry. All else should be banned in my opinion.

 

Why keep guns in a gun club armory or vault ?
For what reason ?

What happens if I suddenly need a gun to defend myself and it is locked up in a vault far away ?

What then ?

You want to use the violence of the state to prevent people from using the self-defense tools of their choice. That seems rather mean and selfish.

I never said it applied to you or anyone else; however I would support a change to the 2nd amendment curtailing gun ownership as I have mentioned elsewhere.

 

Then either you are not being honest or none of them serve on the streets. I knew ONE officer I worked with who believed in gun control.... but he freely admitted he wanted no one to be able to own guns except cops because he thought only someone like him should be armed. Ironically, he was a guy who never practiced with his service weapon and often took multiple attempts to shoot the minimum qualifying scores to maintain his certifications.

Let me know when you get anything close to the support needed for a Constitutional Amendment. I suspect you'll be waiting a LOOOOONG time.

As for the 2A, go for repealing or amending it, the Constitution provides that path... good luck on that.

You support gun laws and restrictions on Law Abiding citizens, because no gun laws will ever be obeyed by hardcore criminals, the ones that do not obey laws against illegal drugs, prostitution, burglary and murder.

No, the government isn't empowered to restrict rights based on someone's interpretation of "need". How do you not know this?

 

But you are a Foreigner, you live in a Foreign Country and one that has ZERO civil Rights compared to the U.S.A. and you have no say as to Our American Constitutional system or Laws.
